Sorry, I’m stupid, you just configure the buttons (inputs) on the MAME menu.
It works well against pimples by LT (button for XBOX) and RT (button for XBOX) are not recognized MAME there a solution?
MAME OS X is incompatible with the right-analog stick, the left trigger, and the right trigger.
You can give this guy’s drivers a try:
http://www.creativdeveloper.com/?p=103
He enabled an option to remap the triggers to Start and Back that would enable it to work with MAME OS X.
Another thing you could do is use SDLMame with a GUI frontend. It will work with the triggers.
Hey I was trying to get my Afterglow AX. 1 controller to work on the tattiebogle version 8 driver. But it won’t recognize my controller when I plug in. SincerelySaint recommended me to this forum from YouTube and said someone was helping people get it to work on Lion (I have 10.7 Lion).
I’m pretty sure it’s Lion’s fault. Can anyone help me?
Hello,
I have the Microsoft wireless receiver for windows and a Xbox 360 controller that I’m trying to get to work on my Macbook Pro on OSX 10.6.8. I tried using the recent driver installer from Tattiebogle and then I followed instructions from this link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKH_qwJ55Hs to get v.8 installed. No matter what I do when I plug in the wireless receiver it is never recongnized.
Is it possible to get this to work?
Hey Tsphan, I’m SincerelySaint from youtube with the tutorial video on how to install the drivers. I’ve read through your posts and realized you don’t have a full solution for getting this to work on Lion yet so sorry about the flood of people coming here asking. So far it seem like luck to get it working at this point. I’ve had a few people get it working by just running the un-install shell and doing the entire install process again. If you do come up with a surefire way of getting it working on Lion please shot me a message on youtube so I may put up a newer video. I may also put up another soon with updated controller.plist info and some of the extra thing mentioned on this forum. Also just want to express my gratitude for your work on on the controller list and installer app my video wouldn’t be such a help if you hadn’t made those.

A refresher on how to install for anyone who’s jumping to the final page without reading everything:
- Ensure you have version 0.08 of Tattiebogle drivers, use Install360Controller008-edited.pkg.zip if you already downloaded 0.09.
- Either manually install it yourself as /System/Library/Extensions/360Controller.kext/Contents/Info.plist and then doing “sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions” OR
- Use this nifty installer.
InstallNewControllerList.app.zip
Simply DRAG AND DROP the controllerlist file onto the InstallController.app icon in your Finder and then wait a few minutes for it to install and refresh your extensions.
hi just a little n00b question: can’t download the list.app… the page on mediafire looks frozen: it shows “processing download request…” from almost half an hour!!!
any way to see the same file on a different repository?
BTW: is it me or what?
thanx in advance
Worked for me, just took a bit for it to download. If you send me your email I could email it to you.
Yo tsphan have you figured out how to get a MadCatz 4718 to work on Lion.
P.S. im running .10 instead of .08
thanks. will give it a try later.
Hello, I have tried many times the past few days to add my controller but it does not seem to work.
I am on Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6.8
My controller information is:
Controller:
Product ID: 0xfa01
Vendor ID: 0x1bad
Version: 1.10
Serial Number: 10065C7
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: Microsoft Inc.
Location ID: 0xfd130000 / 5
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)
The controller works with the PC driver but not with the Mac driver.
Thank you!
@tsphan: thanx a lot, you were true: i tried the next day and the site worked perfectly. now i’m a little stuck but that’s my fault: i had already installed the tattlebogie driver and i’m at the version 0.10… well then: i ran the automator to install the controller list but… instead it erased even the 8 controller that already were there!!!
doesn’t it looks like i’ve got the mrBean Syndrome?!?
XD
I run Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and I just installed Version 0.10 of the XBOX 360 driver, and now all my stuff from 0.08 is gone and my MadCatz XBOX 360 controller doesn’t connect anymore. I also bought a new XBOX 360 controller called the Mini Pro EX XBOX 360 controller and I’d like it very much if I can get a .plist file for that and my older MadCatz XBOX 360 controller. Thanks in advance if you can make it!
Controller:
Product ID: 0x3f00
Vendor ID: 0x15e4
Version: 1.00
Serial Number: 3056EE9E
Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: BDA
Location ID: 0xfa240000 / 6
Current Available (mA): 500
Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)
From my experience, .10 doesn’t play well with Lion. So if you want to get this working, I’d use .08. I tried for ~4 hours to use .10, installed .08 and it worked instantly.
I have .10 installed, but all buttons of my wireless controller are messed up (tested with super meat boy), the X B Y A buttons don’t work at all, instead the shoulder buttons and the arrow pad have some of those functions.
That only came after I tinkered around with it though I believe. Tried to install the updated plist manually but it said the 360controller.kext was installed improperly or something along those lines after that so I tried to undo it. I couldn’t get back to .8 because it would say there is a newer version already installed and I couldn’t get it uninstalled at all. Even after deleting all the files I could find in the extensions folder it would still refuse to install the older version.
I wanna get m Hori RAP VX SA to work somehow, for super meat boy, Jamestown and possibly MAME.
Maybe I’m just doing something entirely wrong here, can somebody give me a headsup?
Edit:
How did you install the older version? Can’t get it working.
Yeah the thing about having .10 installed is that I can’t uninstall it and install .08, since it won’t let me.
i have 0.10 is there a way to install the older version ? Really want to get my onza to work with my mac it’s running snow leopard btw.
Tried everything but can’t get it to uninstall completely. And it’s still acting up with normal controllers, so now I can’t use it for anything.
