is faster on start up, but does less damage and has more recovery. Unless you need to do a Hienkyaku to get into position first, use the :h: version when you are OTGing.
what is the notation for zero lightning dive when it does it instantly to the ground
:dp::uf::atk:
I think :h: sentsuizan might also contribute more to hitstun scaling. At least when I was testing the instant overhead combos on Sentinel I could consistently finish the combo if I went into sentsuizan after the j.:d:h::s: but wasn’t able to complete the combo once using :h: sentsuizan. That could have just been me dropping combos, but I spent about a full hour testing it.
quick situational question:
i use zero ,right.i attack my opponent and he pushblocked my standing H. should i go for shippuga, task or sent assist and teleport m or
should i assist the teleport M?
what would you guys recommend?
Always cover your teleports with assists, and try going for Shippuga plus assist some times after you get pushblocked.
Charging Zero power shot, this probably been answered before but i would like for someone to give me and easy way to charge (on game pad) controller setup as well to make things easy. And doing combos as well thanks in advance…
Actually had to play Zero and Mags with an 360 controller, so I can tell you some tips.
What I did was to set up the buttons like this:
M
L H
S
Plus the bumpers for the assists. The way I hold it was: index=L, middle=M, ring=H, thumb=S. That way you can always be holding your buster and combos become easy.
Any frame data yet so we can see what is invincible? Im pretty sure is SRK has some invincibility.
It definitely has invincibility as an alpha counter, but I’ve never noticed it have invincibility normally. There was some frame date posted on here a while ago but it was just stuff from the guide and I think it wasn’t entirely complete…
According to the guide, the only invincibility that Zero gets is on frames 9-10 of Sougenmu’s activation (right before and after the cinematic), and the first 24 frames of Genmu Zero. (I’m a bit of a guide skeptic, though, but this does seem correct.) Ryuenjin does have some invincibility if you Cross-over Counter into it, but otherwise it has none.
Maybe his SRK just has Lots of priority as an Alpha Counter because Ive never had my Zero assist hit out of.
No it definitely has invincibility as an alpha counter. One of my videos shows how you can cancel from the alpha counter into Genmu Zero against any blocked beam super.
I think its one of the best Assist in the game even though people just see an SRK. Its not like a Regular SRK where the hit box is the fist above the head. Its hit box is the sword and a bit of its trail I believe. Im gonna test it out tonight but I swear whoever runs zero should always Sougenmu+SRK assist. You can combo off it also with most of the cast since it hits for a bit and hits them up into super jump range.
If theres enough want for it, I could take some time tomorrow to write out the frame data from the Guide for Zero. It would be helpful in general to just have it accessible to the Forums. I could make a separate thread for it too so its simple to find. Should I? No preference either way, just a thought.
Please do, if someone can get high quality pics I can work on Hit boxes for a few of his moves through testing.
OR if anyone can hack the game and get it to show the hit boxes itself.
Please do it.
If it’s not too much work start a new thread with a list of all normal’s and special’s frame data.
If a mod is reading please sticky that thread.
I agree still even more, How accurate is the Players guide? If anything I can sit in my local gamestop and do the frame data there because I didnt buy the players guide… anyway we can get a chart of it kinda like how eventhubs did street fighters?
Ok no problem, I’ll do it tonight.
Hi, could some one help me out?
Now I am by no means a good player, but I’ve been doing moderately decent with just 2 Zero combos. The first being the ground loop into Raikosen relaunch, and the second is the the ground loop into Setzuizan OTG + Assist relaunch. I also know the Setzuizan Sougenmu loop, but I rarely use it.
My question is, are there any other “must-learn” Zero combos or techniques that are necessary for mastering the fundamentals of the character, or am I okay if I just build on these?
Thank you!
