I don’t really like Ignition because of the way they usually work their European releases but on this point i’m TOTALLY behind them.
It’s like they’re the only ones who really care about the fans feedback, about the shitty online.
They ( We ) must NOT let SNKP ruin this game. Go Ignition !
Even if nothing else comes of this, at least they’re admitting they fucked up. I hope the game gets continued support, but unless SNK has plans for future character/substantial DLC, I dunno how much time they’re gonna put into patching the game for good online play.
I’d bet on the patch. Ignition basically handles their shit now. SNKP would be dead outside of Japan if Ignition leaves. And for that I’m conflicted. Though in this case, I’m happy since this at least guarantees a fix. Hopefully.
Ignition knows their profits depend on getting this fixed, so they’re working their asses off to get snkp on point. They’ve been put in a crappy spot - hope it works out for them and us.
2: don’t fuck around on your pc dling shit while you play
I just had some suspicious shit happen while playing a dude named daedae…something or other…the speed was GREAT…but it lagged every time I had the upper hand, or needed to respond to something quickly, causing me to jump into shit and whiff anti-airs. Almost looked intentional. Lost 5 matches cuz of that shit. The last match ended and hiss connection had gone from yellow to red. I just quit the game at that point cuz that was obviously him doing something to screw his connection. Other than that, dude was pretty good.
The thing is now that any additional actions will be caught in delegations for god knows how long, and if SNK wants to be stubborn enough then theres nothing Ignition can do about it, and even if something is actually done about it you can certainly bet it wont be by this week or even next week…hell probably not even next MONTH.
Meh, makes me glad I got a refund on this game today…no sense sitting on a game for the next month or so until they get things fixed…since by then there might not be anyone left to play the game with.
SNK REALLY dropped the ball this time…
Kudos to Ignition for showing some initiative though, if only this would have made a difference BEFORE the game was released.
It’s cool that they responded about the update. Nobody I know plays kof so online will be fun for me if it’s playable. I don’t give a shit about tourney play or anything, I just want a functional, playable online game.
Btw they should make it so that you can see the ping of the other player before you join the match.
I hope it’s just not too little too late. Word already got around that the online sucks and that will hurt their sales by a lot. Nobody is going to pay full price for this game hoping that there will be a fix for the online.
They haven’t developed a patch… I means they are simply having a meeting with SNKP in hopes to convince them to make a patch. If they actually manage to get some work done and convince SNKP then it will be a good while until the patch is made then released.
