Maybe slightly off topic, but how is it with freeplays on other arcades in tokyo? Are there any other arcades that often have freeplays and what days a week and what prices? I am considering takeing a 2-3 month trip to japan to play tons of sf iv (and partying). I know im in for a shitton of losses, so freeplays would probably be the cheapest way to go.
I don’t know of any other freeplays outside of the Shibuya one. Unless you want to count the TRF tournies, where you just pay like 300-500 yen for a tourney slot.
Anyways, it’s time to get back in the groove. I’ve had this issue where I’ve been hanging out with my co workers a lot and chasing girls… normally stinking like a bar by the end of the night. I need to get back what’s really important in life… stinking like a bar by the end of the night because I was in a dingy Japanese arcade. :lol:
trf has freeplay almost everyday from 12 noon to 4pm for 300 yen i think… and their tourneys only cost 100 yen to enter.

Dude, like I said, if you can get to free play, I’ll reimburse you and pay for dinner if you want it. I really don’t mind, since it’s the last time I’ll get to hang with you until at least this summer, if I can even afford to come back.

ive only 100 yen for this week (not sure about next week)… but im also pretty stuck with some school work… sigh

Tonight was pretty fun. There was a fuckton of people there, so Tenchou held a team tourney. He said when I got there that Mago was coming, but he never showed up while I was there, and I had to catch the last train home.
Anyways, they leveled out the teams as best they could, and it turned out alright. I lost every match, which is terrible, considering I should have beat all three of the other teams’ first people. I was on a team with Issei, a 30,000 BP Rufus player, that 30,000 BP Abel player whose name I forgot, and Kiristo. We beat every team, since Kiristo is the man, and pulled some serious stuff out of his ass to win a few times.
In casuals I nearly beat Kikombo Max’s Grand Master Gouki (Which I didn’t know he was a Grand Master until today. lol) with my Boxer, but won some games against other people.
I forgot my camera, so I don’t have vids, but it doesn’t bother me too much.
Anyways, next week will be my last Free Play for a while, so anyone that can come totally should.

Sorry about not hitting up freeplay last thursday. Came down with a bit of a nasty cold late on wednesday. Grinding deck in 40 degree weather the next day didn’t help. I’ll do my best to make it out this time though but i won’t make any promises. Got a pretty busy week planned. That and I play too much MW2 lately. But ya, I’ll try especially since it’ll be your last time out in awhile dude.
