Met Kim at Seven Islands tonight. I got beasted on by Mahou Shojou Zangitan, and Kim had some really good matches with him.
Its the first time Ive played anyone really good in a while (Sorry Conor lol) and though I feel Im a lot better, I feel like Im in way over my head at this point. Hopefully I`ll get used to it and start playing a little less shell-shocked.
Conor and I were sitting in our basement talking about SF4, and I said something about good Dictator players, but referred to them as “Dictators,” so he said, “Dick Taters? That sounds like some horrible disease.” So I said, “Kim must have massive Dick Taters, then.”

Got beat down by Itabashi Zangief today in safari at ikebukuro. Oh well At least i played him ! 3 rounders suck.

There was Iyo, Kyabetsu, Umehara, Akimo, Hanamaruki, Chu, and 2 other Gouki GrandMasters…

Ugh…What a frustrating night. Apparently I’m a lot worse than I thought. My matchup knowledge has gone to shit since I switched characters.
I wouldnt be surprised since he came out of retirement last nov/dec if i recalled correctly.
Yeah, i was fucking pissed at my execution, missing ultras and slow ass reaction… not playing for a week had such effects… gargh… Ive played 20 matches and only won once. I think you won once too.
I think out of all the characters you played, your zangief is the best, though its still kinda scrubby-ish… LOL. As for your honda, you need to get the cr.lp combos locked down and never once i saw you tick into oicho when your opponent just stood in front of you, expecting a HHS after the cr.lp… and no lk buttslam too (the best version)… Not saying I can play better than you though, just some feedback.
I was able to go to the freeplay just now because i borrowed 10,000 yen from a friend, reached home with 5000+ yen… fuck. Spent on trains, food, new sf4 card and unnecessary non-freeplay plays… :(. Imma put aside some money just for transportation+freeplay next week. I’ll eat at home before/afterwards.

Yeah, I was pretty scrub-tacular tonight. Honestly I feel like I do better with Honda, but I just have no mixups, and when my offense stagnates, the other player could tell and just let me have it. Frustration hurt me more than anything, too. Getting perfected off of Gouki Vortex mixups fucked with my head for the following rounds. My spacing (although not really that good to begin with) is a little fucked up at the moment, since I’m not used to sitting so close to the screen when I play.
Urgh…Hopefully I can work the kinks out in my short time here, only to lose them again when I go back to Montana. :tdown:
lol yeah and there were a lot of people at the freeplay so didnt get to play that much… i need to play at least 35 matches to make my trip worth it LMAO
i was so piised that i whiffed ultra against that gouki, i could’ve won the match a few times if not for such mistakes… gargh
i should’ve taken vids of kirisuto’s claw, people need to see that claw is able to hold his own in a match… of course the player needs to be good too but ive heard to much complaints on how weak claw is, that he’s too free etc… but ive seen my fair share of beasts claws out there(not just kirisuto’s)…
anyway maybe you can comeover to my place any weekends and we can have some games (i have 2 joysticks though i need to change a button on my TE)… just make sure to tell me a few days in advance, my place is a mess LOL
