I haven’t dropped him. I still play him every now and then, and can still beast on scrubs with him, but I’ve been spending most of my time getting better with Viper and Boxer.

i find it easier to find green level matches if i set to custom and set to “everyone” and “japanese” lol
though chances to meet people way above my GP are higher too, but ive learned that high GP aint necessarily good.
If they’re still in G3 now they are probably just grinders.
Same thing happens in G2 but a lot of the high ranked players over 6k GP are actually pretty legit.

A side story… I’m currently trying to get ANYONE on my ship more into SF, so I posted that anyone who can beat me wins $50. I beat person by person in my shop using my madcats fightpad. Then I was randomly walking by a berthing and there were some people playing. One guy who was “dominating” was playing a flowchart ken. I beat him a few times and passed the (shitty) 360 controller. Someone else played him using sakura and lost, passed the controller my way, and I stupidly chose to rematch using her. I’m good with her actually, I can hit all of her stuff easily and consistently… on my fightpad. I used that cruddy 360 controller and I was missing my anti-airs and ended up losing $50 to a flowchart ken.
Best believe that now I only play on MY terms, haha!

speak to the MWR rep in your dept. tell them at the next meeting to bring up the possibility of a all invited SF4 tourney. you’re on a big ship with what like 4000 people so i know MWR be balling with funds so it shouldnt be a problem. when i was on a small ship a couple years ago, we were able to give out a free xbox (hot system at the time) for first place, the game was super turbo anniversary i think. yea i won and sold the xbox the next day but met some people who were into sf a bit so it wasnt that bad.

i must be the only one on the planet who prefer pizza la over base pizza. the japanese dont play when the base is open to everyone though, dudes leaving with like 10 boxes. the wait and lines are even more ridiculous.
Most pizza places have a “basic” or “plain” option. You can order that and then individually pick the toppings you want. It usually ends up being cheaper than their crazy mayo specials too.
I get strange looks when I order a basic with just pepperoni though.
