anime and manga in general are garbage the ones I love I really love but I ignore/hate most
western comics largely get the same treatment from me although I will say their 1up over manga consistently is in the art department
the media does what it needs to do to profit but I don’t think they are working with anyone to further some illuminati agenda or some shit
Cowboy Bebop to me is a perfect example of what anime has to offer
the Cowboy Bebop Manga was meh to me
but the anime is glorious because not just the story and the characters (which is the SOLE focus of so much anime still) but the soundtrack, the animation, the pacing and how it moves shot to shot, the voice acting. It also set a standard (to most) as to what to expect out of anime that you generally don’t get out of a lot of American/ western cartoons and that’s an ending.
Oh, if anyone isn’t familiar with the original thread, if you Disagree with posts in here, you look like a moron. The idea is, you’re going to read opinions you are probably going to disagree with. Unpopular ones.
Spoiler
And Disagreeing with this post is as far removed from clever or funny as it gets. Though you’re welcome to do so.
Okay somethings are blatantly offensive like people hating on shit just for contrarian’s sake but I think that was covered in the OP so I think we’ll be fine!
-I still enjoyed Hammer’s songs when he was in his “Funky Headhunter” phase…the dude was still coming through with those 90s sounds. I was with ya 'til the end, Hammer!
**
-I enjoyed DBZ wayyyy more than regular Dragonball.** Yes, the show aged horribly though… I wouldn’t really watch it now, except for my favorite parts of the series, and even that is a “maybe”.
At least in the particular case of DBZ–> Yep, I’ll take the english voices all day every day over the silly-sounding japanese voices in the original.
**
Bob Dylan has a truly awful singing voice**…probably should’ve stuck with being a legendary song-writer. On any of the talent shows of today—you know damn well he would’ve been mixed in with the rest of the awful, “joke character” singers for us to laugh at…he would’ve been right there with that “She Bangs! She Bangs!” asian guy from a few years ago that everyone has forgotten by now.

-I actually don’t mind the fact that MTV gave up on being a music channel**. If it still were, we wouldn’t have been blessed with the ridiculous hotness of the girls on their various shows, e.g.-- the Legendary Jisela from Road Rules back in the day (*edit–her and Veronica posed for Playboy and YEP I have the issue…it had Jerri Manthey from Survivor as the featured covergirl.), Irulan from RW: Vegas season, those rich girls from Laguna Beach and whatever the spin-off was, the various Challenge seasons, etc. There was also the other stuff that was just genuinely great like Liquid Television, along with its offspring Beavis & Butthead and Aeon Flux…which later lead on to my baby Charlize Fuckin Theron appearing on the big screen dressed as Aeon (lawd have mercy )… then ya got The Friend Zone show (results were almost always hilarious), and on and on. There has been a terrible misstep in recent years though with this Teen Mom horseshit… I don’t get how anyone can like that one (and it’s on a 5th season right now?! Unbelievable, man…)
I don’t like Tim Sale’s art. I’ve never understood what people saw in his artwork. I liked his work on Hulk and Batman but I don’t think his style fits with anything else. I hate how draws the Joker and he makes Catwoman look ugly
I think Eric Bana was the best movie Banner…and I think Ang Lee’s Hulk was the best Hulk movie.
Eric Bana
Bill Bixby
Mark Ruffalo (Not sure…I want to see him in a standalone Hulk movie)
3.5. Edward Norton
I thought T-Bolt and Betty Ross being the Red Hulks was stupid.
I thought Civil War overall was stupid
I’m enjoying the hell out of Teen Titans Go.
MTV and VH1 needs to die
I like Betty Ross as a Hulk. Being a hero in a supporting role feels right for her. I never read her solo book so I don’t know how good she was as a star.
Well… Liam Neeson ! Absolutely AMAZING performance. I think he has was the best villain (though Ledger was awesome too ofcourse).
At the same time the film had more “warmth” than the other 2 did ,this is a minor thing but something i still appreciated alot.
Both Alfred and Lucius being these fatherfigures to this young Wayne was something that contributed to this i guess.
Also the steps Batman took into becoming the Batman was something i thought to be really beautiful.
Back on the music for a bit–> Naughty By Nature. I absolutely cannot stand their biggest hit singles, O.P.P. and even worse…Hip Hop Hooray. These are songs that always prompt me to change the station or channel, hit the “mute” button or turn whatever device that is playing it off immediately. The shit is beyond terrible.
Also-- that “Gone 'til November” song by Wyclef. Actually, now that I think of it… this might be one of my most hated songs of all time. It is like poison being poured into the ears. If I could somehow go back in time and erase it from the universe completely… I’d do it.
William Shatner<–at least for me, his defining, legendary role is now Denny Crane of Boston Legal, (as opposed to Captain Kirk.) That show is one of the greatest prime time comedies in the past several years.–> http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0402711/ Every time I see him on a commercial or in anything now… I think of that character and all the hilarious moments that show brought to the table.
In the arena of morning children’s shows back in the day: Pinwheel was way better than Sesame Street. If I recall, Pinwheel was giving us 2 or 3 hours of quality entertainment which included DOUG, Paddington Bear, that animated short series about the little hat people, Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings…sheeeit, Sesame Street couldn’t hang with all that.
Nip/Tuck–> a lot of fans seem to hate the later seasons of this; I was loving it. The show only got progressively crazier and more outrageous with each new season. Besides, if I recall…it was the later seasons that introduced the world to the delicious Anna Lynne McCord. <–UnFuckingBelievable… that scene when I first saw it…the things she says…lawd have mercy. (Yes I would sniff that chair after she got up.)
Blasphemy time–** Softcore porn**. <-- At least for me, this is way, way hotter than hardcore porn…and the women in those and “regular” legit movies and television usually look 1000x better than most hardcore pornstars anyway (there are some exceptions though, obviously–like my honey Sunny Leone. That one is definitely prime time.)
