Beyond Oasis is very underrated. Thanks to all the attention Zelda has gotten for over 20 years.
I had it on Xbox. What’s the Nar Shadaa glitch?
KOTOR 2 refined and improved almost everything from the first game.
I also prefer it’s story, up until Kreia leaves. After that it’s clear that the developers had to rush the game to meet a release date.
Hell yeah I remember playing the hell out of it on sega channel.
The japanese dont know EVERYTHING about fighting games.
I’ll even go as far as to say beyond oasis is even better than link to the past.
I had more fun with beyond oasis than i have with any zelda game, and i like almost all the zelda games.
beyond oasis had better graphics, bigger and better enemies, fucking elemental monsters, puzzles that weren’t braindead, and the world was just as large as any 2-d zelda game has ever been. it was how a rip off should be… better in almost every way.
there might be a small chance that the game wasn’t as good as i remember it, but nostagia will make you say some outlandish shit sometimes.
I missed out on Beyond Oasis, simply because there were so many other games that had my attention at the time. I just looked up some gameplay footage on youtube…yeah, I could get into that, even now. Of course I was looking for one crucial thing, basically---- real time action/combat.
Another…
-Earth Defense Force 2017 has been one of my favorite games out of this current generation. I’m sure that’s an unpopular opinion, considering most people probably don’t even know the game exists in the first place.
They don’t know about marvel because they don’t give a shit about it.
Beyond Oasis IS fucking dope. I had the Japanese cart (Story of Thor) and I kept playing it till I got stuck in the plant elemental.
Years later, I finished it in English.
Have a look into Legend of Oasis too. The prequel to the game, on the Saturn.
As of right now, Braid probably has the greatest story in a video game ever. It is far better than any JRPG out there and even most American RPGs; I think only Planescape: Torment (from what I’ve heard) can compare.
Better than Point and Click Adventures?
I thought nobody else knew about that game except myself. I played the hell out of that game. I rented it over and over again, but sadly it disapeared and I was never able to finish it. All the elementals, and their uses, and aquiring them, and the story, that was a top 5 genesis game.
The story’s good, but c’mon. The greatest? It’s very well crafted, but it’s hardly the best narrative ever in a video game.
Halo sucks ass because after playing all three they felt entirely too much the same with nothing more to motivate me to finish them.
Sonic 1-3 and Knuckles were badass games, I dont give a shit what anyone says. Sonic Adventures 2 was the best any 3D Sonic game will ever be. The GBA games are terrible and should feel more like the Genesis games.
Art of Fighting has to be one of the most terrible fighting game series ever created and that’s including Time Killers and wtf ever that weird game was on 3DO that had the guy with the business suite
The Wii is gay not only because it’s called the Wii but also because the name of the arcade stick is called Shaft. Outside of nostalgia you will be disappointed.
Sega will always be better than Nintendo because they care enough to develop their characters. Jesus Christ when will Link actually talk and make the games feel more epic and less boring. As a matter of fact ALL Nintendo characters should start talking besides Star Fox and his crew who games suck as well might I mention (Besides Star Fox 64. That shit was awesome)
Mega Man X 2 is single handedly the best video game on the planet
Who can site here and lie and tell me they don’t want another Streets of Rage if done properly. Double Dragon can never compare.
Street Fighter 2010 was awesome and you know it, fun gameplay and good music. Capcom was the shit back in the Nintendo days. They even made Duck Tales epic.
Darsk Stalkers sucks lmfao.
I dont even know if half the stuff I said was on topic but meh.
I dunno, SOR3 kinda soured me on the franchise, mostly because after the awesome music from the last two, SOR3’s soundtrack was literally ear rape.
Streets of Rage 3 was so stagnant.
Double Dragon was great at the time and still is good. More fun than Final Fight. Combatribes is top notch though.
God of War is overrated.
Haggar piledrivers aren’t fun enough for you, asshole?
Final Fight 1 was awesome. Final Fight 2 was pretty meh (aside from Chun Li and Guile cameos). Final Fight 3 was cool 'cuz it tried something new (special moves, alternate paths, etc.). Hell, even Mighty Final Fight was good for the LOLZ!
Fuck every FF that came afterwards, though (which means FUCK Revenge and FUCK Streetwise, fuck YOU Capcom USA!)
Final Fight Streetwise = Auto- Win lmfao. Final Fight was an amazing game. I geeked over Guy’s bushin combo in the original game and was like “Man, what if h was in a fighting game…AND HE HAD THIS COMBO!” Then SFA appeared and after countless attempts I could never master him. Reason being I would try to bushin chain the shit out of people no matter the scanario.
I honestly thought this thread would have died a long time ago.
If that whole steampunk Zelda at E3 rumor was true, that would’ve been the best thing to happen to that tired franchise. (Disclaimer: the games are still fine, I’m just bored of all the similar scenarios.)
I still want Dissidia on a 360 and not a PSP.
Microsoft should have issued a recall on the 360 a long time ago. I still love mine for the games and the features, but that there hasn’t been a full recall is downright inexcusable. And you KNOW it.
PS3 controllers are shitty. And I LOVE PS2/PS1 controllers.
All wireless controllers have lag whether you care to acknowledge it or not. Though the Wii’s is pretty minimal (based on my own testing), the 360’s is almost as good, and the PS3’s is the most noticable (does that system have wired controllers?)
Tales of Eternia is the best in the series and the one most deserving of both an HD remake and reworked voice acting.
Bandai-Namco trying to force 2D mechanics on the 3D fields of the latest Tales games is getting annoying. I shouldn’t have to hold a button to “Free Run.”
The Force Unleashed has awesome music but is otherwise “just OK.”
Arkham Asylum looks like it will be one of the only good Batman games ever made, right beside… the first Batman on the NES?
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe isn’t any more ridiculous than Marvel vs. Capcom. Ryu would never beat Thanos in a real fight, so don’t go saying that’s okay and Sonya Blade punching (and hurting) Superman isn’t.
Blasphemy time… MK vs. DC actually looks pretty good. :looney: Mortal Kombat games don’t still have block buttons do they?
You know, I would like a Zelda game with (well done) voice acting and all, but Sega caring enough to develop their characters? Making the anthropomorphic Sonic the Hedgehog having a too-close-for-comfort romantic relationship with the PASTIEST, PALEST, SKINNIEST white chick any Japanese company has ever devised (and dem Japanese devs love their super white chicks) soured me. Oh, and all of Sega’s shitty games.
