Well Pokemon was originally supposed to be heavy multiplayer and kill time with an easy single player (like halo 3 is now). The problem was that the link cable was a shitty way to handle multiplayer. When niggas tried to get their battle on during lunch/recess the schools banned gameboys. So you had to play your neighborhood kids, and them niggas didn’t know what was up.

That’s true. I was in middle school during the primetime period of Pokemon. Niggas getting Gameboy’s took left and right. We would be playing that shit under the desk in class. Scheduling meet-ups in the bathrooms during class. Niggas had a league throughout the school featuring 2-8th graders. It was serious.

Then I got my shit took. I was playing it under my desk, and I had to be super focused on it for about 30 minutes. I noticed it was completely quiet in the class. I look up, and EVERYBODY is looking dead at me. I’m like “what’s up?”. GG Gameboy :shake: My mom had to come and get it. And it was later on that year that I went to win the Official Pokemon Mall tour. That tourney inevitably lead me to Street Fighter and SRK.

Good times. Can’t believe it has almost been 10 years.

PS. Oracle of seasons was some BULLSHIT. But it was awesome getting the GBA and those two at the same time.

OoT is somewhat overrated, but that game was better than Awakening. MM would have been a lot of fun if not for the retarded 3 day have to use special items to reverse time bullshit.

All Mario Kart games after Super suck because they’re too slow. (Super Circuit might be good, but I’ve never played it.)

ocarina of time might be overrated for some, but still… the story, simple gameplay and the “no bullshit”-ness about it just keeps me coming back. unlike any other game other than a good fighting game. therefore OoT gets my vote for being the best zelda game.

in my opinion the 3d zelda’s are better than the 2d ones. and yes, i played 2d Zeldas BEFORE i started playing the 3d ones.

LttP is overrated; it’s a good game, but not great.

LttP seems to be good simply because a lot of the new Zelda games kinda suck.

I probably am reading in the wrong places, but LA doesn’t get the recognition it deserves (Just check this forum, not too many people talk about it, it’s all about OoT and stuff) because most Zelda fans are on OoT’s nuts

RPGs are ridiculously boring.

Gran Turismo games aren’t fun. At all. And yes, I suck at them. To be fair, the Rally races are fun, but nothing else does it for me.

Halo isn’t that great. It’s an above-average series, but I don’t see why the prospect of future Halo games leaves people foaming at the mouth.

Grand Theft Auto IV was okay, but the series has grown stale. If I want to play a racing/ driving game, I’ll play one. And if I want to play an action game, I’d sooner reach for Ninja Gaiden II. Combining the genres is definitely the greatest strength of the series, but it doesn’t do any one thing particularly well.

Super Mario 64 is the best game of all times. You don’t think so, and I see where you’re coming from. I’ve never had so much fun with one game. Except for maybe…

Half-Life death-match is a lot better than Counterstrike. TFC is, too. HL2DM was a huge let-down, but…

Half-Life is hands-down the best FPS series. The prospect of future HL games leaves me foaming at the mouth.
