Why would anyone throw their 360 in the garbage just because it RROD? If that happens you send it in for repairs free of charge and have it back in 2-3 weeks, hell if you really got that pissed off you could at least sell it or trade it somewhere.
I’ve already posted about it on the 360 thread a few months back but still I don’t get why people are making such a big deal over the RROD. All RROD means is that you won’t be able to play your 360 for 2-3 weeks tops and most people who get RROD don’t get it more then twice and even then only 1/3 360’s get RROD in the first place. I see so many posts going along the lines of;
“360 Has a lot of good games and I hear it has great online service but there’s a 1/3 chance I won’t be able to play it for 3 weeks out of the year soo that completely invalidates me wanting to get it”
Sure it’s a huge flaw on MS for putting out malfunctioning systems in the first place but the reality is that’s how it is so people should just get over it and stop bitching, I’ve gotten RROD twice and yeah it pissed me off but does that make me appreciate the games and online service 360 has to offer any less? nope.
BTW just out of curiosity am I the only person without a bias for any next gen system? I can just feel the prejudice ooze like a rotten cyst from every other post. Although I like 360 better then ps3 and wii that doesn’t make me like or play them any less and at the very least all 3 have at least 5 toptier exclusives that make the systems worth their price. IMO the console wars bullshit is just an excuse for people to feed their innate desire to argue.

My second 360 RROD last year when I wanted to play Halo 3. It took two months for me to get the Xbox back. By then, I did not care.
Only the first time did it take only 2 weeks. Just sayin’…

If you don’t like Wii or PS3 for whatever reason, that’s perfectly fine, but consider that 80% of the good games on X360 are also on PS3, and 15% are on PC. What else does X360 really have to offer? And, for your own good, don’t say ‘Halo 3’.
There’s just no possible way anyone can reasonably argue that the X360 is that much better as a video game system than the PS3.

That sucks. My first RRROD was last summer got it back in like 20 something days the second time as 2 months ago got it back in 2 weeks exactly.
For me it isn’t about console wars. It’s about my enjoyment. If get my hands on DMC4,MGS4,SF4,BlazBlue,KOF XII and my console shits out on me and I cannot play it for two weeks-two months?! That’s not a console I want. Ask anyone if they get their latest hyped game would they shrug it off as no big deal if they can’t play for a few weeks…
RROD and my love for my PS2(I side with Sony), not giving a rat ass about whatever exclusive titles 360 has and me hating their controller results in me never willing to pay for a 360.
