anime is wack, but DDR is fun as hell. People need to get over themselves and just play to have fun, and stop worrying about what your friends will fucking think.
Mass Effect, Gears of War, and Bioshock are on PC too, and all somewhat mixed bags of good/bad. Dead Rising is only āgoodā if you are into extreme violence over truly deep gameplay, and enjoy sandbox games. To call any of them games worth buying a 360 for is stretching it.
I have no idea on Lost Odyssey, not into RPGs.
Rockband is funner and looks cooler, so there.
Yeah, games that are out on X360 and PC are hardly exclusive.
I think you are downplaying Dead Rising a bit.
It doesnāt exactly have to be an Epic Masterpiece for it to be a good game.
It had like 5 or 6 endings, and the game itself is pretty difficult if you want to go through it with no error. There were some problems with the Gameplay, mainly not being able to read Otisās messages(For those of us who donāt have an HD TV in their room), Some of the Escort missions, and some of the Time Constraints and Respawns(Jeep convicts anyone?) , but Dead Rising brought a breathe of fresh air to an otherwise tired genre.
At least those 3 came out for PC baby.
EDIT: Wow, I missed Remyās post that pointed that out. >_>
I loved Melee. Brawl hasnāt enough hit stun.
WoW⦠Sucks. I hate MMOs. Time sinks FTL. Now, perhaps itās one of the better MMOs. And I wouldnāt mind it nearly so much if⦠IT DIDN"T FUCKING KILL THE CHANCE OF A WARCRAFT 4! I mean, War3 was absolutely awesome. And then, BAM! They smack us in the face with an MMO! I love Blizz, but WoW really pisses me off. But, Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2 are being made, so itās all good.
My other unpopular gaming opinions⦠Lesseeā¦
Yeah, because they both suck! I kid, I kid⦠About Final Fantasy. To hell with ©rap.
Hmm, unpopular opinions? Um⦠I donāt like Halo. Itās a generic FPS. Itās not bad, but not great either. Iāll pick UT over it any day. But Iām no FPS connoisseur.
NBA Street 2 takes a heaping shit on Street 1, it actually makes street 1 look like a demo. The other games are trash though.
eh, Iām getting my own Xbox pretty soon and the very first game Iām buying for it is Mass Effect. To me, Bioware games are games that I buy the Xbox for. First Xbox was KOTOR 1/2 and Jade Empire and for the 360, Iām getting Mass Effect and hopefully the next KOTOR. I would definitely buy the other listed games in that quote, although Lost Odyssey is kinda iffy with me because #1, its a JRPG, and #2, they fight in a line and/or in turns.
ā¦which brings me to another cute little piece of blasphemy, though Iāve probably ranted about this before since this thread is old as hellā¦I will always prefer console gaming. If a game is available on PC and a console, itās the console version for me. I want 0 hassle in my gaming experience, and the console side of things continues to be more convenient. There are no worries for system requirements or configuring anything but perhaps your controller options(*and even that is usually a non-issue as I will most likely play with default on nearly any game). Basically, I donāt have to go out of my way for a goddamn thing hereā¦not even a little bit. I get the game and pop it in the system, and play on my cheap-but-gorgeous HDtv.
On the PC sideā¦Spore is the only thing that catches my attention.
*I had fun with Legend of Kage back in the dayā¦I was surprised that game ended up on a āWorst Games Everā list one time.
*Crackdown never really got the love it deserved.
With all of the hate on the 360, I think yall are overlooking the big picture. ALL NEXT GEN CONSOLES SUCK. PERIOD. Iām sorry, but failed promises, pimping your audience for sub par gameplay, and lack of any type of a diverse gaming library just ruins this generation of consoles. I have played all of the consoles and all of the big titles. They are just mediocre games with new paint. Even MGS4 and NG2. There are exceptions, but they are few and far between. (and before anyone says the reason to get a PS3 is T6, I absolutely hate Tekken in general, and the same goes for DOA.)
Man thereās only ONE thing I want a next gen console for and thatās ānext genā fighting games. Honestly the PS3 and 360 do not come at price I think justifies the couple of games.
This is true.
The flipside of course is that generally speaking, the PC version tends to have huge modding communities that vastly increase a gameās lifespan.
The PC version would also probably look and run better, assuming you have a great rig (or, for some games, even a medium rig could do that, depending on how well they optimize it).
Wellman post is a good way to put it I guess, and about the whole āif its on PC its not exclusiveā thingā¦well, I donāt care about PC gaming personally so its about the games and consoles for me and the general outlook of games a certain console offers so I really dont put the whole weight on āthat console has THAT exclusiveā, and since the 360 has games like those that Wellman mentioned (including the upcoming JRPGs which are of my liking) and other multiplataform games like DMC4, (and the upcoming RE5, SF4, Soulcalibur4 just to name some examples) I try to use a broarder look in how I purchase my consoles, now I must confess that I dont know if I had been a big Metal Gear fan if I wouldāve purchased a PS3 right away, maybeā¦maybe not. Iām not trying to argue here or anything but I just found it interesting that posts like that of Remy just showed that not everybody choose the consoles based in similar terms (i.e. particular exclusives).
If you arenāt gaming on the PC, youāre playing the watered down version of the game.
I understand most people will sacrifice quality for convenience. Just sayinā.
Probably, since I know little about PC gaming I have to give you the benefith of doubtā¦but honestly, with 23 years in my life I donāt feel enough motivation to give in to the changeā¦
It didnāt deserve any. The game consisted of doing the exact same thing to every crime lord, and hopping around a city looking for stupid hidden shit. Not fun in the least.
Yeah But the convenience factor alone is what attracts me. Like for instance take Mass Effect. For me to play that game on PC, Iāll have to buy a new video card + 1 more stick of RAM, and a dual core processor. This will cost me 122 bucks less than a Xbox 360 Arcade + game, but Iāll have to go through installing the pieces of hardware, then freeing up enough space to install the game, which will prolly take 30-40 minutes and then when I want to move onto the next game, Iāll have to install yet again, and possibly clean up more HDD space just to make room for the game. Iāll probably have to buy a 1TB HDD just to keep up with all these games. With the 360/PS3, I can just buy a game and thats it. PS3 has some installs, but not huge and you have plenty of space for downloadables.
Yeah, it really is different strokes I suppose.
However, until 360s no longer RROD, I promise I wonāt buy one. Even if a game that feels exactly like having sex comes out for it.
that game gave me cardio of the gods lol.
