PS All Stars is a good game. Besides the shove in 3rd party characters, the only real gameplay flaw was the supers-only kill system. It didn’t feel rewarding, especially if you use a combo heavy person like Nariko, Raiden, Dante or Kat, and you’re sitting there fuckin up the opponent all to realize it isn’t doing anything to him, and if you miss your finisher you gotta start over. The game has inconsistent match flow.
But it is fun as a free for all or 2v2 game. Just not 1v1 persay, especially with broken people like Kat and Raiden. I hope the game does get a sequel with a more solid kill mechanic.
I might be having a serious case of bad memory, but I don’t remember the Saturn port of SFA1 looking anything worse than the arcade.
Back when Alpha 1 came out I used to alternate between playing the game on the arcade near my job and at home with my friends and the game looked pretty much the same on both systems.
I didnt say it looked worse. Both systems had pixel perfect graphics, and of course Saturn had more animation, but the layout looked wider and shorter than PS1. Could be closer to the arcade’s layout, but since both ports had the super meter upside down, who knows. I just know that playing both on the same TV back in the day, PS’s characters looked bigger in relation.
Neither port is that great in retrospect, just like how OMG great Saturn’s Alpha 2 is supposed to be… still missing animations, just not as much ripped out as PS1. On both systems, you have to mirror match to get 100% animation for the new A2 characters.
Green lighting Bayo 2 for Wii U was really smart of you Iwata, you get some brownie points

Brand loyalty is the most elaborate form of corporate fellatio, brand adoration is fine though.
I have no quarrel with anyone who wants to buy the Xbox One, enjoy your system. Hopefully your choice won’t come back to bite you.
I hate Twizzler’s licorice. It has very little flavor, like the bare minimum of flavor, and it just feels like I’m eating plastic or candle wax. Their black licorice is even worse. You know what was better? Starburst licorice! That shit was the bomb, yo. I don’t really eat candy but that shit was so good, any time I saw them available I’d try and get one. But guess what? They were discontinued almost 10 years ago and if you want good licorice it feels like you have to go out of your way to get some.
But, I did find Twizzler’s Sweet and Sour licorice, and it was actually good. Tasted like the Starburst licorice but had a gum-like center so unfortunately you can’t use it as a straw if you wanted to and the yellow licorice is more bitter then the red but it’s still better then the regular Twizzler’s brand.
