Unpopular gaming opinions SECOND IMPACT

Okay.

The Xenosaga series is God’s gift to mankind. If you don’t like it, you should be shot. PERIOD.

RPGs in general suck and should be more like Kingdom Hearts in terms of gameplay. I like being able to attack when I damned feel like it. Otherwise, you better have a damned good storyline and cutscenes like Xenosaga.

Metroid Prime 2 is greater than Metroid Prime 1. Also, Metroid: Zero Mission is better than Super Metroid.

There is no SRPG series greater than Front Mission.

Dawn of Sorrow is the best Castlevania.

Gogogo.

Edit: Every RTS in the history of ever sucks. There is no such thing as a good RTS. Play Civilization or fail.

fixed

Play Star Ocean 3, Rogue Galaxy and other the Tales games.

Played all of those, and the only one that doesn’t suck that much is Rogue Galaxy.

Oh, and Dark Cloud 2 is the epitome of RPG gameplay.

Blasphemer…although I feel that RTS games should not be on console.

Well your mom doesn’t like my wack condoms, and that’s why your ass is running around today…

Seriously, I’m not against rap in fighters or whatever but the lines were Mims-level garbage.

In total agreement there, except Nick Rox took hyperbolic retard bullshit reviews to the next level…

Would it be blasphemous of me to say that I think Geometry Wars is better than any of those? /don’t kill me

I never played much of DQ, so I’ll take your word that DQ Ryu is better. But man, BoF1 Ryu had superior stats, gear, and dragon morphs that only cost initial AP and nothing more! He just WRECKS shit.

Myrmidon Ryu (BoF3) is pretty “up there” too. Aura = :wow:

Cloud and Tifa aren’t together?

I’m seriously gonna have to set aside time for DQ one day. This DQ Ryu honestly sounds like the freakin’ Punisher on crack.

I aim to please. :bgrin:

Yeah, no doubt. I think the average frames of 2D animation in games was directly proportional to how he scored it.

No not really. Geometry Wars is pretty damn fun. I guess you aren’t COMPLETY crazy(even though you hate Metal Slug 3 which is…wow)

If the whole of Metal Slug 3 was that final level, I’d like it a whole lot more…

Oni for PC/PS2 is one of my favorite games

Shadow Hearts 1 and 2 (aka covenant) beat out tons of other RPGs out there. the characters were more memorable and the overall story was far better than just about any final fantasy game…

Any fanboy sucks. But I would like to see more 2D games.

2D or 3D ain’t just how it looks, it’s how it plays. And that’s why no 3D platformer has really appealed to me. Jumping platforms just isn’t the same across the third dimension. There’s too many things to worry about. Skillwise it just feels less precise, more varied.

But just because it’s 2D doesn’t give it a free pass anywhere. A shitty 2D game is a shitty game, just like shitty 3D games.

No. Romancing SaGa 3 and SaGa 3 (Final Fantasy Legends III on GB) are also great. RS3 is like a less refined SaGa Frontier, SaGa 3 is like SaGa with a traditional levelling system, but with a SaGa-styled class system.

Lastly, why does everyone want to see a sequel to everything, as if it’d be better? Chrono Trigger was great but I wouldn’t want to see a sequel. It’s fine the way it is. I want to see more games like it, not more games of it.

While I agree that DC2 was awesome (Monica was so much fun going around killing things with)…are you on crack talking shit on Tales? Tales of the Abyss was godlike, as was SO3 (the story was kinda bleh, but the battles and extras were top notch).

Here’s my unpopular opinion…I actually enjoy Legend of Mana. Though it’s no Seiken Densetsu 3, I loved fights (particularly boss fights) in that game.

I wasn’t talking about the moves alone, I meant their potential.

Gengar fails. It’s all about Snorlax.

Here’s an opinion:

Dynasty Warriors 3 = The Best of the Series, No Contest

Max was awesome in DC2.

Ridepod ftw.

I love Legend of Mana too.

And think Seiken Densetsu 3 sucks.

Also, Secret of Evermore was pretty fucking good.

 You’re avatar is cool; what’s it from?

EDIT: SD3 is awesome:tup: Why it didn’t get a North American release is beyond me…

I knew I forgot something. :lovin: Yes, Seiken 3 blows, and Evermore didn’t deserve half of the anti-American BS flak it got. It was a great game that took the Secret of Mana combat/ring system and improved upon it a great deal. Plus awesome (and infuriating, in the good way) dungeons and some wacky tough enemies and bosses and you’ve got a winner. Awesome music too, the likes of which you don’t hear anymore (except in Guild Wars where the Evermore composers ended up).

I wanted a real sequel to that game so freakin’ bad.

Shadow Hearts had way too many cliches in it’s storyline…I didn’t care at all about the main character as well, I don’t think they did a good job developing him. I liked the idea behind Shadow Hearts though, I just don’t think they did it right.

…SO3 seems way better than Rogue Galaxy to me, battle system and storyline. Rogue Galaxy has some issues (like how you can take out enemies so damn easily with the abilities).

SD3 owns. Far better than Legend of Mana, Sword of Mana, and all the other crap that came after it.

And Infini’s current avatar comes from an incredibly awesome anime series called Lucky Star.
