Just to touch on the Spike being dead thing, you actually can’t prove it as specs said…considering the producer said it’s meant purposefully to be an open ending where you think what you want.

Hitman Reborn started of really good but I stopped reading it altogether. Even if it’s becoming increasingly popular, Future Arc is what is killing this show. It has gone on for far too long. Just show me Grown-up Reborn and were good.

Despite all the hate, I liked Zeta Gundam more than anything else in the series. I don’t think the additional movies needed to be made. Sure I liked it and watched them again, but they eliminate the entire reason for ZZ to exist.

I really enjoy sports manga/anime, as long as they’re done right. See: Slam Dunk. Ippo as well, despite how ridiculous it’s getting, Major S1,2,3 were good as well.
Still waiting on the gold mine that is Slam Dunk Nationals OVA. I think it’s time to release that…Please? -

There is good Anime that comes out these days that doesn’t have Loli’s, Traps and other such things in that turn so many of you off. I have a feeling that none of you know this though cause most of you guys don’t watch fucking Anime. This topic is proof enough of that.
That’s why Tomino made the movies; to appease people upset with the outcome of Zeta’s ending. Most people don’t like ZZ as it doesn’t fit the model for the rest the series that were in Universal Century, so writing it out didn’t seem to matter to a lot of other people either.
I’d have to say that Zeta is my favorite of all the UC series myself as well.
FLCL sucks. That’s right. Oh, I get the metaphors their trying to make and the themes their trying to address, but it still sucks.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is the most overrated anime in existence.
Imported Anime was only good back in the early days of Animeigo, Viz, U.S. Manga Corps, and A.D. Vision. Back then they HAD to have plots and character development. Now that everything is being brought over and dubbed, there are no standards and it sucks. A
Inuyasha is completely superior to Bleach. It does everything Bleach does with better character development, more likeable characters, and it doesn’t try to be a DBZ/Yuyu Hakusho Knock Off.
Key the Metal Idol is better than 99% of all anime that exists. Frankly, I’m being kind. I should say it’s better than 99.9% of all anime that exists.

I saw the new Guyver, YuYu Hakusho, Black Cat, FLCL, and GTO; some in their entirety, others partially.
I want to watch Iria and Grappler Baki at some point, as I’ve heard things that interest me. I hear Mai Hime is an intriguing take on the whole magic girl genre, but that isn’t a genre I really care about.

Berserk is the greatest manga of all time. The people who usually can’t read it are the ones who can’t stomach violence.

Code Geass and most Mecha shows these days are awful.
Berserk is not as great as everyone makes it out to be. Guts is a great character, but the rest of it is not so good. Though it is still better than the Mecha/Moe crap anime is so riddled with these days.

-I also would rather watch the dubbed version of DBZ any day over the japanese one. I don’t want to hear certain characters in any way other than what was in the english dub (*crucial ones–Freeza, Vegeta, and Zarbon. Zarbon was a minor character, but if it isn’t that badass Aussie accent provided by Paul Dobson on the old dub, then it isn’t Zarbon as far as I’m concerned. Unfortunately, the later english dub is another guy, since I guess they couldn’t get Paul back…? That’s one reason why the new DVD set just couldn’t “satisfy” me when it came to the Zarbon episodes. Yeah, I care way too much about this one character and the voice. I remember it also pissed me off when the triflin’ niggas that made the first Budokai game put Zarbon in with NO CAPE. Get the fuck outta here with that.) The music also kills the shit out of the japanese version.
I also preferred it to regular ol’ Dragonball. I suppose this might be since I saw DBZ first, but I suspect my opinion might still be the same even if I watched DB first. DBZ just had more action and extra forms, and truly threatening villains. Regular DB seems like the “Nick Jr.” version of DBZ.
One Piece-- I still can’t get over how amazingly ugly this show/manga is. Jesus H. Christ these characters…they’re just profoundly ugly. It’s the “Nicktoon” of anime. The character designs all look goofy and ridiculous…and not in a way that’s entertaining either. It just looks stupid.
Most female japanese voice actresses I’ve heard sound terrible. I cannot stand that high-pitched, shrill garbage they pass off as a “cute” character voice. It’s like nails on a chalkboard for me, and it ruins any kind of sex appeal the character might’ve had otherwise (e.g.–Nel from Bleach, even though she is grossly inferior to nearly every other bitch on that show.)
Anime is superior to manga… I just want to see stuff with color, animation, sound, music and all that jazz. Static black/white images just cannot compete with all that in terms of overall entertainment value…it’s not even a fair comparison, really…that’s like comparing a silent movie, on VHS, viewed on a small tv to a well-made movie with HD visuals that just came out recently.
Probably not that unpopular? —>Naruto lost its way a long, long time ago. What happened to the whole “ninja” theme of the story and setting? I see some freaks of nature with godlike powers fighting other freaks of nature in broad daylight, and raw power is usually what wins a battle, especially with the main character. Where are the “ninja ingredients” here? It already started off “questionable” with things being so bright and colorful anyway. Kakashi and Kabuto, and perhaps early Itachi are the real ninjas…I’m not so sure about all those other guys/gals.
I tried to watch Akira, but that so-called “classic” put me to sleep…and I wasn’t even sleepy at the time.
Most Gundam shows I’ve seen have been boring as hell too…like it’s 90% talking and 10% action.
The phrase "It can’t be helped" is used so damn often, it has become quite funny to me.
DBZ again…japanese version–using a woman to voice Goku…yeah, still a stupid idea…even though it’s been explained time and time again to me. It still sounds silly to me…to hear an obviously female voice coming from this absurdly retard-strong dude that can easily destroy whole planets if he wanted to.
