Even though I think the idea is lame, in general, I think it’s important to point out again that the arcade cabinets they are replacing are shitty racing games that nobody ever played. So even if I never play the new things either, is that really a step down? Seems about the same.
the games i really loved to play were mvc2, pump it up, and time crisis.
i also didn’t mind cvs1 and svc
they got ride of everything except mvc2. at least they replaced time crisis 1 with a newer time crisis, but then i think they got rid of that one too, but that was after i graduated so its ok.
As part of lecture, we were shown this video: . I was really smiling while I was watching it, and some dude walks by my computer in the library, looks at the video, looks and me, and then he starts cracking up.
There is a scientific basis for that experiment, and you should support it because it’s your tax dollars funding that lab.
Edit: Even more awesome, I just learned why shark poo is very salty. Damn comparative animal physiology.
If science videos on Youtube interest you, here’s one I saw in biochemistry that was easily the best Youtube video I’ve seen in class, and we even saw “The Powers of Ten”. This is a mouse that has been genetically altered to use it’s energy ASAP.
P.S. It was a crayfish.
I went to the HUB yesterday after a final to check out what they had done, and I saw about 6 or so televisions with Xbox 360s hooked up to them, and one television with Rock Band 2. Suddenly, it doesn’t seem so bad.
I like those guitar games, but if I only like 6 songs or so on the entire game, I really don’t feel like sitting through other less shitty tracks. That is just me though.
That new stick sucks. And the roundhouse on the left side is acting up all the time now too. I’m half tempted to just bring in some games to the HUB basement so we can play something with better controls.
I’m at the UW, but I’m totally fed up with the HUB games section. And I have a 360 with a stick now, so… I’ve just been going home and practicing SF4. That game is so…
Yeah, I dunno if anyone here actually cares, but there’s going to be a Brawl tournament at UW on the 24th. Small entrance fee, its for charity, but there’s some nifty Penny-Arcade related prizes for the winning spots.
I started this tread 5 years ago as a HS senior KC. 5 years later, I’ve finally graduated from UW. Met many people in the past 5 years; learned to play Marvel. Pretty damn good memories.
