Sup guys, I’m currently a senior in HS from Kansas City and I’ll be attending U of Washington during the fall. I’m wondering what the closest arcade was. I checked the APEX matches and the closest seems to be Tukwila. I know U of Washington has a MVC2 machine in the arcade there. I was wondering if there are good players that goes to U of Wash. or if any tournments are ever held there.
No tourneys… there’s a few shitty cabs at the HUB here…
Generally the competition isn’t fantastic there. Its usually known as the Scrub HUB. Take that what you will.
Tukwila was the old Silvercoin arcade in southcenter mall. That is now gone. The place everyone goes to for arcade play is Bellevue at Lanwerx. You can hop on a bus here at UW to get there.

Ack, Scrub HUB hm lol. Ya I found on yahoo maps that it takes about 17-20 mins driving from Seattle to Bellevue. Probably a little longer from U of Wash. (Well that’s driving the speed limit hehe) Ya, I need to pump up my game before I come though. We don’t have any super amazing players in KC, but I can get more consistant with my resets and crossovers. So do you go to UW Switchup?

You can hop on a bus and be at Lanwerx within half an hour. Otherwise, while the HUBScrub ain’t that great, the competition there is still semi-decent, and some of the good players drop by from time to time.
the HUB actually has 2 marvel cabinets. unfortunately I dont think either of them work for shit. i havent been to the HUB so far this quarter though, so im not sure; maybe the controls got fixed (yeah right).
if you’re from KC though, the competition at the HUB might be just right for ya.

Bellevue is actually closer from the UW than from main Seattle…hop on the 520 bridge here (if you have a car) and you’ll be there in 15 min…unless there’s traffic :lol:
