Sorry, I have a really bad memory with names, and I couldn’t hear myself properly. <_< I’ll edit that ASAP.
It’s cool, no problem. I just thought that, if it were me, I might want to be corrected. I always feel bad when I get peoples’ names wrong.
Since Youtube is being stupid and my uploads keep failing, I switched to Google video.

Skoo is dun.
Yep! Which means no more games in the HUB.
I’m still in the area, though. We gotta practice! Or at least just play a few games.
I’ll call you up when I am at UW, and we can get some games in.
Yes. Let’s make it happen.
Or, you know, more games at peoples’ houses.
It’s just that I have absolutely no gear.
I know, I’m working on it.
Glad to see the HUB represent at Northwest Majors. Just let me know if you any of you guys want casuals.
Any time! Except for the 4th of July weekend.
So I’m starting up the club again.
Grant, the next meeting for Club Orientation that 2 officers must attend is Tuesday at 2:30 on the 2nd floor of the HUB (I’ll find out the room) and Wednesday. All meetings are at 2:30.
I’ll be at the one on Wednesday. We don’t have to go the same one, so whatever day you can make it is fine. If you can’t make it anytime at 2:30 thats alright too.
I talked to Chris (HyperInferno) and he is the president for another video game club on campus this year. All clubs get 2 free hours of room use a week for rooms in the HUB. We talked about scheduling each clubs 2 hours back to back, so that we could have a 4 hour block to hold weekly or bi-weekly tournaments on campus. They might just be small tournaments to get people on campus more involved, but they could get bigger. It will also give us more experience renting rooms and figuring out ways to get money from the school.
I also am starting the club again so that we can get more free printing. :wgrin:
Hey can you get me prepped on some of the club registration stuff? Or will that be covered at the orientation meeting (I need to go since the only person who went to one before has now graduated).
I’ll help you out with it if you want to meet up on Monday.
2:30 Tuesday is class for me, unfortunately.
Wednesday I can do, though. See you there.
You should send me a PM or email me with the room number when you find out, just so I absolutely don’t miss it.
Who’s the new guy at the HUB that plays Magneto/Cable/Cyclops? His Magneto is incredibly inconsistent, he could probably do ROM if he actually tried, but he just goes into Magentic Shockwave if he can.
What time do people go there? I’ll try to make it out sometime. I’d tell you I’m busy, but hitting on freshman girls is a full time job.
That reminds me, good thing I was never smart/dedicated enough to ever be a TA. I would have so taken advantage of bitches in distress.
I went to the RSO informational meeting today, put my name down. What should we do with that? Chris said his group last year would meet sometimes in Architecture, and I’ve been to movie showings there before. Also I see that there is a TV available for student groups (when reserved).
Sorry, huge post.
Basically, the goals for holding the tournament are
- Bring in new players.
- Run more tournaments to figure out how to improve on them and make them more interesting and appealing to whole community.
- Have people practice announcing for matches.
- Start to produce things that can be used at NWM. (ie. Large banners explaing games, seeding for potential new comers, figure out game run times, try out new games.)
I was planning to rent out the 108 room in the HUB once every two weeks and hold a tournament. We could do it once a week, but for right now I didn’t want to organize it that much.
Room 108 is the room that they do the poster sale in on the first floor of the HUB. It’s big, has a projector screen in the center of the room, and is easy to find. I think easy to find is important. I tried to go to the console freeplay room one day and couldn’t find it (Denny Hall is a maze) so I just gave up. 108 is the kind of room that people are constantly walking by, and could stumble into if they saw something going on, which is great. It is also right on top of the resource center, which is where we would be renting equipment from, so no hassle renting TV’s or tables.
I don’t know if we can get 108 for sure yet. There are a lot of unprocessed room requests that have gone in before us. We’ll have to submit it and wait and see. Luckily, there are some other good rooms in the HUB also.
I think Chris’ club can still rent out their architecture room and get the 2 hours in the hub, so we can schedule meeting back to back and have it go for 4 hours.
I am going to find where I saved the constitution from last year and just resubmit it. We aren’t bound by it in anyway.
I was thinking either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday at about 4 or 5 on for the tournament time.
So right now, we need to just get the paper work in and get established again.
Our name hasn’t popped up on the website, so I can’t register us yet. I let you know when I get it in.
Excellent. Keep us updated, Brent.
