The only pain in the hub is the fact that there is two cabinets, by having two cabinets nastiness spawns from it. Like somebdy said somewhere in this thread there is a Top tier cabinet and a low tier cabinet, I disagree with this. There should only be one cabinet, so that way people have to play against other people not segregated. Shit the hub has all these players who complain about how Top-tier is boring and why doesn’t anybody play only lowtier, and yet at the same time I ask why doesn’t the Lowtier players just come play against the others and see why nobody plays lowtier, shit Zach is the only person in the NW that can survive against us with his lowtier characters, for shits sake he place higher than most of us in Nor Cal Regionals (Good shit again for that Zach). But the only reason he is able to compete with the toptier characters users is because he uses his lowtier characters constantly against us so he improves.
You guys say toptier is boring and I say Lowtier is Unefficient, yet Zach has proven us time and time again that when played correctly Lowtier characters do have a chance, a slim chance (cause I pwn Zach) but a chance none the less. Everyone has thier views on the game, and I have had both before so take it from me, TopTier isn’t boring and neither is Lowtier and if you understood the excecution it took to use these characters ou would appreciate the beauty of the game instead of whining about how there is no lowtier players.
actually its better with two cabinets because the wait in line is a lot less. the ppl who dont really want to lose money and pride will play on low tiers. me ive spend countless quarters losing horribly to good players. it feels good

But the point that most people don’t get when i say these things is there is no need for a second cabinet. Why do people play Video games? the asnswer to have fun through competition, every single video game has a points system to help gauge the ability of people and how well they do. The competition is what drives us to be better and improve, with two cabinets in a small ass arcade there will be no competition at all. If they are scared of losing they shouldn’t be, they should suck it up and play against the “better” players so that they can improve on their skills. That is the root of competition to improve and someday become the best at what they are competing for. It’s not like you see me beating up the machine whenever I lose to somebody, I accept it and learn from my experience so that I can improve my game. I don’t go running to the other cabinet because i lost to him/her. Thats just bitch made.

Good!!! I had to put up with that bull shit for like 3 years over there, just don’t want you to have to put up with the same thing. People need to quite being scared of the better players and start playing them so that they can improve, shit thats what i did I got my ass handed to me 1,000 times playing with team seattle ie Cody, Row, Jmar, Kuan, Mark, Noalander, Wenzel, Ian, Mandel and everybody else, but it only made me better.
People at the hub beilieve me when I say this, the more you play against people with the skill level of Allen and Wenzel the better you will get at the game.
I think Evan retired from the hub =D It’s funny though, I’ve notice one guy who will only stay when I don’t choose MSS. When I do, he always leaves.
Thats becasue nobody in the hub has any asperations to raise the level of their play, they only want to play to win against the people they know they can beat, wich unfortunatly because of your skill level in the game means that they will not play you, it was better back in the day because me and Mark used to split up and play on both machines forcing to play one of us, but since you are the only one you are pretty much fucked until they get rid of one of thier cabinets.
hey man you’re making pretty big generalizations. back when you, mark, evan, nolan, and thomas were playing I put in a LOT of quarters. a LOT. there were a lot of high caliber players back then and it was a good learning experience for sure. and i dont remember it being so bad that everyone was too scared to play you or mark.
anyway i totally agree that you shouldn’t run away but at some point, you’re gonna run out of quarters. whereas before with one machine after you lost all your money you’d pretty much have to find some other way to pass time, with two you could go and get more for your money.
btw allen, it looks like i am going back to school for my 5th year this fall. i’ll play your mss - and if i leave after a few OCVs its not because i’m running away, its because I’ve lost most of my interest in the game this past year.

It wasn’t directed towards you. And when I said he leaves, I meant he leaves to play on the other machine, not that he leaves the Hub. Everyone leaves the hub at some point in time lol =p
