I actually think that is a Sega standard, unless the Egret II I saw had been modified to not have the molex’s.
My replacement part shipped so all of the final pictures / gameplay video will be up this weekend. I’ll have the machine running before that, but I have midterms all this week I need to be focusing on.
Pictures of the harness:

hopefully we won’t smell any more smoke
god, i can’t wait to mash heads in on this thing
the connectors on the side of the cabinet are badass. those are all output or input? thats dope if output, easy for capping matches! either way, its slick man
In only, they can be modified to be output as well though with the right PCB.
I’ll have everyone over sometime when the cab is done and we can set a Saturday for you guys to come out
I got in my 3s board earlier yesterday thanks to sonofx51, I took some pictures of the board and the machine running, as well as video. I’ll definitely have some pictures up in the morning, but now its time for sleep.
The pictures of the screen never turned out even with the flash off, the picture quality is amazing though. With an actual arcade PCB hooked up to the machine, the color is ridiculously good.
Didn’t have a kick harness so we ghetto rigged the kicks to the pins manually by making loops in the wire and using electrical tape… whatever works right?
We’re wating for them pics.
Does third strike have a 31khz option?
ya, we got to play it a bit last night, and hopefully some more before i work today. 100% badass on a stick
I believe the CPS systems (all of them) only output at a standard 15 Khz.
Pics coming in about 2 minutes… uploading now, I’ll get more today aslo as well as better quality video.
Pictures of the 3s cart and CPS-III board. I’ll take a picture of our ghetto kick harness when I play on the cabinet today:

These pictures don’t do the screen quality justice, the screen looks superb with the machine running an actual PCB and not a PS2 to JAMMA converter. I’m guessing that since the monitor is a projection monitor that even when you take a picture with no flash you still don’t get the full depth of color
ShaithEatery and Raditz can vouch for me on that one. I guess its still pretty funny that the screen quality in the pictures is still better than any of the Megalos in our area.

From the pictures the screen look pretty bad. Have you tried adjusting the video settings to get a better picture. Just saw this Megalo on Craigs List. If the monitor needs to be replaced you could probably swap out the monitor from a better projection TV that’s the same size. Would be a big pain in the ass but it’s possible.
The screen does look bad in the pictures, in person it does not look like that at all. For some reason taking a picture of the true image on a projection monitor seems to be a hard task to accomplish. And from that picture, thats about how my megalo looks, I’ll try taking a picture of the monitor tonight with the lights off, that may be the secret to getting a decent picture of the monitor.
And again, any picture or information requests will be filled if anyone has any requests.
video?
I’m going to take another video tonight with my professional camera, I couldn’t stand the way it turned out on my consumer camera. It’ll be up late tonight when I get back home.
cool
nice
Holy hell that is amazing.
The audio in that vid is directly being captured from the Megalo?
Superb sound and picture, nice!
