Okay, this turned into a pissing match which wasn’t my intent but okay. You want to think your word is gold and this is the way things have to be done and there’s nothing else that can be done. And god forbid I’m the prick who challenges you.
How many setups could you possibly need? 4 at most? 4 towers does not take up a lot of space dude.
I never suggested you had the money to buy all these machines. You didn’t read what I suggested. I said this: why not gather a few PC’s from people who play the game and determine which ones can handle running the game at an optimal agreed upon speed in casuals. I don’t know about the Melty/Anime fighter community but the 3S community is willing to bring consoles and CRT sets for casuals. As will the KOF community. So if the community just refuses to support events by not bringing equipment than it’s not a very strong community to begin with. Which would be sad.
*Figured out a solution to the driver problem too. An hour or two before the tournament, call up everyone to the PC’s and have them test out their shit. You know, run casuals. You could even tell players to bring their driver disk or load it on thumb drive.
The more i just stay a bystander and just read this battle about bringing PCs to venues the more i just see it as a hassle on both TAs and Players to run PC.
Has there been big tourneys run on PC? What was the process they went through to make sure all the Towers were standardized? How big were these tournys? (number of players).
I would like to know a bit more about this before i say something else. Also the man carrying Towers around for tournaments is a champ
Me and my buddies did a melty blood tournament in my country with a PC, we had 3 setups with towers and 2 with laptops. Well at least my pc case had a “handle” like a briefcase that helped… but still if you really like the game you are going to find a way to transport them, make them work and etc.
At least being on pc is not a problem IMHO , plus its easier to stream…
I don’t know how long I’ve been laughing while watching this video. It’s nice to see French-Bread had fun doing putting Sion into this game and making so many reference jokes to MelBlo throughout her story. The fact that they acknowledge that they want to make a new MelBlo using the designs from UNIB is very promising to look forward to as well. Thanks for the video, Shamash.phi!
New Hydra GP tournament announced on January 27. Considering the “tradition” it will be pretty sure that French Bread will use this for his new “big” announcement. Probably console versions of UNIB (and maybe the rumored “Steam” version) .
Small question: Does anyone know of any vendors that sell import arcade machines that would happen to have UNIB or how I would go about trying to get an arcade cabinet ver. of UNIB? Just very curious as I’m trying to consider doing so for a tavern I work at.
For what i understand the Ringdedge 2 arcade is equivalent to Nesica, in that you need to be conected to a network to work i think that its called All.net or something like that.
I wonder if there’s a console exclusive contents (PSN, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS PC & XBL only of course):
*English voice (if it’s possible)
*NEW Characters
*NEW Guests (perhaps another MB spin-off character, Riesbyfe (listed as “Ries”. She’s been with Sion for long-time) & ArcSys (w/ Atlus) permissions’ characters including Ragna from Blazblue (listed as Rededge) & Yu from Persona (listed as Yuki))
At least the important compatibility is screencap & custom music for all versions
Talking about potential new characters already? Fuck, I just ordered the Arcadia Extra mook too (should have it in about a week or two). Mook will probably be somewhat obsolete with these patches and updates, but I’m starting to like this game a lot…
