f- retains some gameplay-effects of chaining systems which include a more complex combo system with easier hitconfirming and rewarding blocked offensive pokes/moves/openers with momentum, which brings the game to a more offensive playstyle, but also keeping it at shorter strings can prevent unfairly braindead long blockstrings filled with BS mixups (ever play against eddie?), encouraging and rewarding offense while still making it require intelligence, skill, and finesse. this also tends to result in faster offense, since forcing shorter strings also forces gaps (and also frametraps) to occur faster/more often, and said gaps are where decisions by players are made (instead of one player holding down-back in constant, airtight blockstun and the other doing routine button sequences)

I’m not really understanding this at all. Its sounds inconsistent and all theory. I think it best just to say it a fast pace type of game. Everything else is pure theory with little support.

It seems Under Night In-Birth is FINALLY actually under publication! The website has been completely redone and the game will feature new info in the upcoming issue of Arcadia (available 9/30) and the site promises to fully open around that time as well.

Now to see in Unreal Black Things are actually worth the hype and waiting.

Seeing how French Bread are responsible for probably my fave fighting game series introduced after 2000, I am definitely hyped to see what their new game is all about. So whether it stands to be on one of Sega’s newer boards or another NESiCA deal, here’s hoping it something good.

Just in terms of graphical style this game looks absolutely fantastic imo (stages are bland just like Melty’s though). I’m not much of a fan of MB’s gameplay, hopefully this is a different deal.
