Those weren’t PR battles. #notyourshield came out when SJWs tried to be the voice for minorities when it clearly wasn’t wanted nor need. Lot of the charities were done because they wanted to support those causes. It wasn’t done for the publicity of them. The one where Gamergate adopted a Sea Lion was done as a joke.
I don’t like where this thread is going…Lets just focus on how ridiculous these two speaking at the U.N. is and what it could imply. I think it sets a very bad precedent, that if you make a big stink about petty shit long enough. World leaders will be willing to hear it.

Even if shit was put on some social media site, all you have to do is close your account and if anyone brings it up to your face, tell it like it is. These people that try to cash in on this malarkey should find another road in life. They bring up negativity, crying “toxicity” yet they breath that shit in and live it. I think Emma’s intention was in the right place but heforshe by its name alone is already highly sexist and gendered. There are women who could legitimately use feminist and social justice, none of them are in the first world and none of them are the advocates we commonly see.
No, you’re looking at it wrong. Laws are just another shield against the unwanted, aggressive advances of many men. They should be in place since in our society we’ve treated women as property for a number of centuries. We also have laws that protect everyone the same way, just look at regular harassment laws. They aren’t covered by constitutional protection and for good reason, because that type of speech is harmful to others. Women should have the right to go anywhere without having to deal with bullshit and there should be laws in place to help that happen.
Nearly all feminists support this. They want equal rights that men enjoy, which is why they push so hard. Don’t get your asshole pressed if you see women fighting fervently to be treated equally as those with dicks because they’ve been oppressed for a long fucking time. I always find it funny that people are fine to support creating laws for black people so they come to equal footing as the white men who oppressed them for so long yet in the same breath get all bothered when women, who have their own history of oppression from the same white men, want the same help too.
