Well, in the evo Panel, Niitsuma said that Zero could cancel every special(such as Ryuuenjin and Hadangeki) with lv3 buster.
In this topic, someone else confirmed you could cancel every move…
Haven’t you tried it or they really took it away in this last build?
Meh to me if they took this away in the latest build it means they probably thought about the absurdness it would bring to Zero’s already absurd playstyle. Though the other buffs they give Zero seem ooohhh So GOOD!!! Thanx for the update NaokiB4U
I never actually tried it since overall Ryuuenjin is still kinda uselesss on its own and I never thought to check since I didn’t read that list of changes (im stupid for that haha). Sorry about that. Can’t confirm or deny it for other specials, only Hadangenki.
It would be pretty absurd for Zero to be doing what you suggested having a lightning bolt a blast shot and then another bolt. Although I guess the usefulness of the bolt goes away as I don’t think it would come out if you interrupted zero before he finishes the dash animation (lightning doesnt come out until he reaches the other side, although it does come out fast).

Probably looks bad because it’s a .jpg picture taken from a stream. MvC3 was/is beautiful so I know that picture is probably gonna look a lot better on our own TVs.
Me too, but man Zero’s new win pose is just Boss as hell. It’s the new look of the win Screen I don’t like. I liked the old comic book style better, with the game winning character getting the bigger panel.

Zero • Shippuga loop no longer works, as the opponent gets pushed too high up for the combo to continue.• Zero’s jumping H and jumping Down + H both push the opponent farther away in combos.
At least one of these has to not be true. Not too worried about either of them really.
The only thing they can do to effectively nerf Zero is nerf his mobility. His air superiority is what makes him so good. The fancy combos are what make him broken. If his damage output is gone that’s not going to change the fact that no one can catch him.
j.H pushes them further away in combos? That sounds a bit vague, but I guess it means that stuff like the j.MMHM loop and S>j.d+H>j.H are not possible anymore? Not too worried but it seems Zero is gonna be a lot more tweaked than I had first thought he would be
Next week here in Australia we are having a tournament and Capcom is sending SFxT and UMvC3 (4 copies each). I’ll be spending all day playing both games so I’ll definitely record and document any Zero changes I discover.
So if Zero’s jumping H pushes back farther, then would his air j.2H, j.H combo still be possible? If it’s not, then they are definitely taking big chunks out of Zero’s damage combined with the fact that his shippuga loop is gone as well.
Even if it’s gone, there are alternatives. All of the nerfs I keep hearing for Zero do not worry me at all. Remember, anything combos in Marvel.
