UMvC3 version 2013: The feedback thread

these changes I either already posted I would like for felicia or I think would be nice changes for her.
anyways, I’m not great on the mvc jargon, but would increasing the hitstun on toy touch, bring it back to the state it was in in MvC3 toy touch hyper enders, no matter how long the combo was? and what does ES mean?
I like the sound of hard knockdown for H catspike over forced bounce.

My own thoughts: rolling buckler uppercut, I would like it if the horizontal hitbox was slightly widened or cause a soft knockdown or anything to give it some more usage as far as catching an opponent in the air.

Even if we just got this and a Rapid Fire Fists fix I would be happy. Getting Hoodlum H as an input error is basically saying “OK, kill my character now.” Disagree with the thing about air headbutt replicating pipe - the special OTG-able state it causes is really cool and can lead to insane damage where you can also use your ground bounce. It’s a good tool.

Giving him back his broken assists and making sure people can’t evidence search lightning fast… Isn’t that balance?
How about he can no longer move through maya’s shield so he can’t hide inside it?
Currently, trying to attack him while he’s inside the shield gives him a free combo opportunity and with the search canceling he currently gets, expert Phoenix Wright players get access to broken turnabout 70% of the time… The 30% goes to bad evidence or a lucky opponent first touches him and blows x-factor or two or 3 meters to kill him(After that, God forbids the phoenix wright player doesn’t have Vergil or Phoenix on his team.) Current Phoenix Wright stomps non-Zero, Vergil, or Wolverine teams. I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack every time he gets inside her shield and speed grabs evidence. It’s like a dark Phoenix that doesn’t need 5 meters with her own bigger reaching Haggar pipe(Jumping H) and instant 600,000 damage super that hits EVERYWHERE… I guess you play the character… and like anyone behind the gun… you don’t feel the fear. Go watch UglyWhen’s matches on eventhubs. Yes! Nerf Phoenix Wright by making him search for evidence with the recovery the move is supposed to have.

It’s obvious you love and use Haggar. He is a character you have to spam projectiles and wave dash away from. Which is easy for some characters if he’s the last character… but on point with 2 assists of his choice to force players into a corner and and attempt to block his pipe spamming that has enough reach to keep hitting after being push blocked mixed with those low hitting punches, command grab or his favorite normal jump grab option select while he’s trying to pipe you… and god forbid you don’t miss time your push block…One hit and you have to deal with resets if your using one of the unfortunate none flyers…“oh wait, if I’m lucky, I might hit him out of his reset…Mash, Mash, MASSSSH!!! Craaaap!!! Dead character, time to deal with his broken incoming Violent Axe, ground pipe or jumping pipe mix up options… Craaaap! Another dead character! Next game I guess… Crap!! He happy birthday’s me cause of that stupid long pipe… next game… OH! I got him in block stun! Time to apply some pressure! Oh, oh, yeah, like that!!!.. WHAAT! Stupid Lariat! I guess I’m donating to the pot today.” If your not wolverine, Magneto or Morrigan(Or maybe a couple of other characters I’m missing)… Yes, Haggar needs some balancing. You don’t see it cause you play him and don’t feel the fear and frustration he puts people through when he’s on point. I suggested he got a faster dash and walk speed so he would be able to get closer faster…that should be a Haggars dream buff. I shortened his pipe to compensate for the speed. I wanted the Hoodlum Launcher slower to give all characters a chance to get a attack out to hopefully stop the reset. It’s currently 80% on most characters.

That’s Haggar’s shit though he suppose to be a slow character with high health and priority. Taking away priority and giving him a speed boost in return doesn’t fix shit it just makes him like everyone else. I’m all in with fixing Haggar but nerfing his DESIGN does not solve anything. Haggar excels at one spot on a team and it’s support and maybe even point. Changing his Lariat makes him less viable as an assist character. Haggar is fine as is , but his one true problem is getting in on very mobile characters that can zone fairly well. I think if he’s able to land a hit on these certain characters he deserves to do the damage he does. I don’t play Haggar so I wouldn’t know what would help his problem but Haggar players do.

Of all the retarded ass shit someone could choose to complain about in this game, people ITT are complaining about MAYA SHIELD AND HAGGAR???

Have you tried… grabbing out of Maya Shield? Works beautifully (much to my chagrin). Have you realized Wright has no mix-up capabilities, even in Turnabout mode? He has no high-low game. THAT right there is my biggest gripe with Wright; Even in Turnabout mode, he’s not that effective against anyone who has an idea how to fight it. Granted, few do.

Seriously I see some good ideas for characters in here, but with all the amount of bs everywhere it’s hard take people seriously. Could people at least try to stay un-biased when suggesting changes for characters??

I play every character except Phoenix Wright, Felicia, Iron Fist, Jill, Vergil, and Magneto.
I think it’s worse for a character specialist to judge cause they’re more likely to try to maintain what makes their character work despite how broken they may be. And I doubt they’d know what it’s like playing against their characters best winning tactics. Hence Nerd Josh’s post mentioning his suggested Morrigan changes… Nothing about no meter gain during Astral Visions… He wants morrigan’s fireballs to have 4 durability points… Yeaah… cover the screen with fireballs that most characters have trouble dealing with just one of… I’m guessing your a specialist that isn’t like that… Well, congrats, your special. I wish more specialist were like that. I just got through arguing with a Haggar and Phoenix wright player about what makes they’re characters need nerfs for. The Haggar player had only buffs in mind for his character. That’s specialists for you.

People suggesting changes for the ENTIRE CAST and not just characters they play shouldn’t be taken seriously unless they are a top player or someone with a lot of established game knowledge.

They’re ruining this game, man. Horribly unbalanced.

I play Shuma on point so I understand where they’re coming from. What’s wrong with making a worse Doctor Doom?
They want Mystic smash hit-box bigger to stop air grabbing mystic smash which tends to turn into a dead Shuma.
8-way air dash fits his abilities in the comics since he’s supposed to be a flyer.
Three air dashes sound stupid though. I imagine it’ll turn into super jump, dash up, then side to side to time scam.

Clearly lol. I won’t profess to be an expert on this game (went back to SF4 after my girl Hsien Ko turned out to be complete asscheeks) but fuck me if that isn’t some of the stupidest shit to be complaining about.
