UMvC3 version 2013: The feedback thread

The problem with buffing Nemesis to much is you have to give Hulk some sauce too. If he gets armor
even close to Hulk H then nemesis takes Hulks main gimmick.

I say Nemesis:
Make deadly reach into a hit throw, air okay.
Down wards grounded rocket.
Instant level 3 with 5 frames of invincibility.
Faster recovery on armored moves.
Hyper armor on all supers.

That’s it. Go crazy with armor and Hulk becomes meh.

Now give Hulk something fun, like a rage mechanism/healing mechanism/or a projectile nullifying jumping fierce
then it’s game time. Maybe even a special version of the d/p super that he can use to fuckup airborne opponents
How does everyone feel about Thor’s j.S causing a groundbounce?

Too much?

You’re allowed to suggest what you want, so it’s fine to want to… but yeah, it may be too much lol. I guess they wanted to make Doom top tier, but still…

I’d just rather Thor’s beams hit small and crouching opponents, if it did I’d use him instead of Plasma Beam.

Thor’s H should have armor and wallbounce too.

it would be like the pipe with less of a hitbox

I think Dante’s damage scaling should be the way it was back in vanilla, or a somewhat reduced version of vanilla’s damage, cause now he does no damage
Thor should have the highest priority projectile the in the game from thowing his hammer and the reverse of Inferno with storm bolts coming from the sky.
Yes, THOR, should be badass.
And he’ll still have no way to open good players up. I’d just give him Wolverine’s j.L to instant overhead people because fuck it top tier spidey would be awesome.
Top tier spidey would be cool. He’s a marvel icon and yet they have Spencer up there instead.

If they want to buff the raccoon make it so his traps dont freaking disappear when hit,Chris redfield can leave traps all over the screen and hitting him while he drops a trap leads into a trade that he can get big damage out of.its like capcom is completely bias when it comes to character design (Looks at spiderman and spencer)

Capcom made sure that their side is better than the Marvel side. Just look at how many characters they have that are top compared to marvel also look at what capcom does for their characters. Its just like you said with Chris and Rocket Raccoon. Same for Spencer and Spider-Man. Allow Morrigan to gain bar when asked for them to get rid of that way before the last update.

Great, so we’re going back to the conspiracy theory that Capcom made their characters better to “look better”? Lol, you got to be joking. <span style=“line-height: 1.7em;”>Thought that idea died back in the beginning of Vanilla, like it should have.
<span style=“line-height: 1.7em;”>

<span style=“line-height: 1.7em;”>And dunno why people still want AV meter gain removed when Morrigan is meter negative most of the time she uses it and that a nerf like that would just push players to abuse her rushdown, which I personally fear far, far more.

I think a fair nerf to morrigan would be to make Soul Drain not steal meter whilst in AV. I also think soul drain should go away if morrigan is hit whilst its out in either AV or regular morrigan.

Morrigan is a really delicate character to balance because its Morridoom and Morrivajra that are the problem not Morrigan alone.

Dante can do damage (the guys in the Dante thread have him doing 800k solo), but it takes a heck of a lot to do so. I think his damage was really high in Vanilla, but I advocate you suggesting they buffed his damage output slightly. If not just give him more hitstun, I like long combos anyway and wouldn’t mind working more to get the damage lol.

Each side has their high tier and low tier characters.I’d argue that Marvel characters had the better (neutral) assists, with some already great point characters. We can have our opinion about which side is better, I just don’t think there needs to be a ‘conspiracy theory’ about the balance of the game.

As far as Morrigan adjustments, it’s a little tricky. In the end, her gaining meter in astral vision is her thing. And it’s Morrigan + Hidden Missiles that’s the issue. I see where you’re coming from Cheech with stopping her stealing meter in astral vision, but then she’d just have a really slow moving projectile for nothing.

Just a thought that came into my head whilst typing (so not thought through thoroughly), but could they stop her projectiles from being fullscreen, like Chun Li’s? Bullet Hell’s really effective, and I’d rather they kept everything aobut her in tact, but they just made people have to work a little harder for it?

Or if anything, they could reduce her chip damage (I believe they buffed the damaged of her <strike>salt</strike> soul fists).

I find it kinda fun how non-zoning character can outzone a character so easily in this game

under the rule of “little changes at a time to see broader implications”, I think TAC fix (I do not believe that any infinite combos should ever exist in a game, but that is just me) and Hidden Missile Assist Only fixes (reduce tracking significantly, leaving it viable for combos, but not as ridiculous of a zoning effect as it is) would be the first set. Then maybe buffing up the lowest tier characters.
Well, the biggest buff going into Ultimate for Dante, Wesker, and Viper was adding Vajra assist. Now…
Buff the lower-tier zoners by adding Blackheart/tracking or Dorm’s pillar assist.

It’s my opinion. Yes they both have their top tier. Except Capcom’s top tiers is still better than Marvels. But hey Its my opinion don’t take it seriously.

I think its Capcom getting revenge for mvc2 where all the top tiers where Marvel characters lol And dont forget CVS2
