This is true… Trish v Trish is silly :stuck_out_tongue: I might head to Toryuken, but I won’t be competing… maybe just watching.

It’s actually pretty easy to use it whenever you want. It doesn’t work great as a combo extension for Trish (unless someone here knows something I don’t) just because it adds heavily to hitstun decay and Trish’s moves seem to scale fairly hard themselves. Use it during your approach to open the opponent up so it hits in the beginning in the combo or during your air approach. If you hit an opponent air to air Cold Star will lock them down so that you can combo them. Keep in mind that Ammy jumps in front of the point character and is on the screen for a long time. Do not call the assist constantly or haphazardly or you’ll lose her. I think it’s always a good idea to be attacking with Trish when you call Cold Star to make your attacks safe and set up a mixup opportunity. If they block your attack Cold Star will lock them in block and you can try do something like instant j.L>dive kick>combo or tri dash high low mixup.

Hmm…I’ve been experimenting with Round trip Sign switching lately…The L Version (The one that makes it return slower) has really really got me interested. I’ve figured out some pretty dumb stuff with it. Though Idk how practical some of it is.

I’ve been using L and H sign switch since vanilla. I dunno why people don’t use it more often. L gets nice free mixups off a air switch and H does good at catching assist and bringing them towards you (or keeping full screen characters in check.)

You just have to be smart on your sign calling.

No I’ve been using them since forever also. I’m just trying to figure out some NEW tech with them. Maybe i’m overlooking this =[

The TAC round trip combo is pretty hot. Kinda makes me wonder if you can do some crazy things with the L sign switch.

I’m always up for trying to find more uses for L and H sign switch. I haven’t see any use at all for the M version though.

Yea I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to use all of them. The M switch is what really has me puzzled. The only use I could find is that its good after a lockdown assist as it returns faster and you can probably get another Round trip off. That is all about I could think of.

Trish Storm Akuma is my team exactly. The DHC and THC stuff with Trish and Storm is really fun to use.

Where do you live if you don’t mind me asking? And no, I don’t like trish/wesker/vergil, rapid slash just isn’t good enough to base your entire gameplan around. The team will still work imo, the 3 of them are too good on point for it not to work, but it won’t be optimal imo.

So heres a question, how do y’all feel about trish vs vergil? I(funny enough considering how many vergils there are in ottawa) don’t actualy know much about this match-up but I hear it might be bad for trish so figured id ask the professionals.

I always saw the M switch as a “I dun goofed” and the opponent is coming close in her face. But doesn’t really do that well when it loses it’s property once Trish is hit.

Unless vergil has some help with an air assist, it’s really vergil taking a lot of H teleport guessing or having to spend meter on Swords/Devil Trigger just to possibly catch her in the air. If he does get a hit on her, ideally Trish should die.

This is granted you’re playing mad lame against Vergil though.

As for the rushdown side, I was talking with Huoshen a few hours ago and pretty much Vergil loses to people who stay on top of him. Since you know…he can’t get anything off and whiffing something up close = death for vergil with no meter.

Yea thats what I was thinking before going to bed last night, on one hand if trish is keeping in the air the match-up should be easier for vergil since not only can he teleport up there but he can teleport behind her hopscotches and air throw. But if trish decides to get in that ass, doesn’t seem like there’s much he can really.

I don’t like fighting Vergils at all. I think i probably respect him too much and as a result let him walk all over me. Honest question though, what can Trish do against Swords?

Block and let it run out. You can fly but then you take the risk of taking unneeded clean damage. Up backing just gives him a free mixup.

Max voltage might work but it depends.

Well he can be hit from his head and underneath himself so in theory a well timed dive kick or well placed hopscotch should make him relatively weary. With that said, I guess going with shin oni’s gameplan, if you stay in that culo, he won’t even be able to get them out.

I don’t think max voltage will work though, I think the swords will protect him allowing him to get in trish’s ass. I could be wrong though.

Any advice on Trish vs Ghost Rider backed by Strider assist? I’m having a first to ten match next week against this team and I have trouble against Ghost Rider for some reason.

I’ll test out Max voltage on swords later. I’m thinking the higher shot projectiles would hit him out of it but i’m only playing theory fighter right now. He’ll probably have time to teleport behind trish either way if he’s on the ground.

Dante Jam Session assist helps against strider. No real reason Trish has to go in on Ghost Rider even with Strider assist. Put out a peekaboo and watch your feet while you’re on the ground (Since at that point, it’s the only way GR can get some type of hit on Trish by himself from full screen.) Let Ghost Rider kill himself trying to reach Trish. Be smart about aerial movement (if you can hear the game, just keep a hear out for the crossover assist call). Or if you want, let him call Vajira assist and go in on Ghost Rider before the assist recovers. GR doesn’t have many great options to get people off him.

If it’s that bad, throw in Dante or Wesker. They don’t rely too much on air movement to get in/be lame/do whatever. Even with Vajira there, bait it out, go in on GR and kill him. They can kill him once they land a hit.

When you’re talking about instand overheads, are you talking about a quick jL during a lockdown assist? Or, like, sj up, add L? Basically, my Trish team has been Trish Doom-a Wesker, not so much to “copy” RDK, but because Doom is just my best character for playing the shell. But I don’t want to ruin my rushdown ability due to my assist not being a good enough lockdown. Could do Weasel shot instead, but to call my Dante meh would be almost bragging lol (well my neutral is good, but combo wise total ass).

I guess long story short: Can a Trish backed by a Plasma Beam rtsd? I run and zone and all that fun stuff too, but as you all know, a good Trish shifts from 1st gear to 5th gear to 1st gear to 5th gear.
