First things first you just gotta realize that thats just a painful match-up to begin with, so you gotta play patiently. Im not sure if he can vajra you on reaction to setting a trap, but you still shouldn’t be throwing them out all willy nilly. In fact, in this match-up I would recommend rushing that shit down. Playing lame against dante has never been a good idea and with vajra in the back I can imagine it’ll be even worse, so just get in that ass. Vajra becomes less of a threat when the opponent is forced to play defensively since he can be hit on the way up and hommie only has 750k. Just watch out for hammers/helm breakers, if the dante likes spamming them you can either AA him with a st.:h:, or if your feeling ballsy jump up and airthrow him(not recommended, the reward is very minor in comparison to the risk).

Incoming mix-ups I have none, so your gonna have to look elsewhere for ideas on that.

Thanks. Honestly I’m not too afraid of Vajra because it tends to miss Trish often as long as she is moving. Dante is always a problem for me regardless of what character I use.

The Dante vs trish match up depends on what assist you have to get in tbh. If you don’t have one you have to play solid, double jump to bait AA, approach with box jump light, if he jumps try to counter hit him with your normals before he gets anything out. But make sure you make smart decisions when doing that though.

Also just make sure you play this match a lot against different Dante’s. You can never just theory fight your way through a match up or a match in general.

Not sure if that was directed at me, but no, I don’t think any match-up where she has to rushdown is a bad match-up, I just think dante/strider might give her some issues is all. Dante was always a headache of a match-up in vanilla, and although it got better in ultimate, I thought the addition of a vajra would really give trish issues.

I feel that Dante is one of those characters that if you really understand him (it helps to play with him) your problems against him will go down by a lot. That being said, Dante with Vajra is really annoying to deal with with trish if they are good with it. I would say if your gonna do traps…Make sure its during the assist cooldown or something. Also keep in mind that grounded Max voltage has a pretty dumb hitbox and will hit strider during Vajra and will probably get Dante if he teleports. Max voltage won’t kill him in 1 go, but it @ least makes your opponent think twice about calling him Recklessly. If your Scared of Vajra+Teleport you can simply Cr.M when its happening and he can’t really do anything to you as it avoids vajra and anything dante does in the air. Cr.M is personally how I get out of alot of Dante’s Random Assist+teleport stuff.

Against vajra, if you time j or s. H, it’ll hit strider cleanly out of it before he kicks you.

So heres another match-up question, everyone believes(rightfully so) that wesker vs trish is heavily in trish’s favor. So what happens when wesker decides to play keepaway? Just gunshot teleport, gunshot teleport? What I usually do is jump to their height and throw out a round trip while calling out hawkeye at the bottom, but it really doesn’t natural so I figured why not ask you guys over here to get the skinny on the match-up.

At that point it depends on what assists he has vs. what assists you have. If he’s got a strider assist it’s hell. Other than that, Trish still wins the zoning war and controls the pace. With Trish, you should be in control of whether or not he approaches or stays full screen. Here are some tips that help with this match.

His guns can’t hit you if there’s a peekaboo covering you, so always throw that out there as a bullet shield.
Also, he can only hit you in the air from your double jump/super jump range if he decides to super jump forward or teleport forward. Play around with your dive kick and air dash angles to just avoid getting shot and vary your exact landing spot/timing.
Use your flight to stay in the air or maneuver in the air. Flight generally keeps you out of trouble, and allows you to call assists from double jump/super jump height.
Once you’re winning the chip war with damage from your assist, low voltage, and round trip, it’ll force him to approach you and play your game.

The guy I play rarely gives me an opportunity to do this. Sometimes I can catch Strider with a peekaboo before he kicks me.

It’s most useful when you’re at super jump height and the opponent is trying to use it to bring you down. If you mess up the timing though, you’re screwed cause it’s a hard knockdown and Dante has all day to confirm.

Wesker vs. Trish basically goes whoever has the life lead wins.

If Trish has the life lead and wesker can’t really do anything against her lame, it’s tough for him. Same the other way around. At that point it’s whoever plays patient and has an assist to either close the gap in getting in or gaining the life lead.

I dont know if a lot of ppl use this or know about this but an corner incoming mixup option i like to use is to place a peekaboo at the entrance and then sj add S.

This leads into 5 options
If it hits go into combo
SJ add L
SJ add feint into throw
SJ add feint into low
Sj adf S (call low assist preferably wesker) for unblockable

These setups have worked consistently for me especially because i condition the oppenent to guard lows from trish since it leads into big damage

Hey guys: what known methods are there for escaping Team Jago Round Harvest unblockable setups?

Raw tag
CC into invincible hypers (Jill and Sent are the best examples)
X Factor the last hit of the Round Harvest and punish

neutral tech. Since you get up faster on neutral tech, you’re not forced to either block the unblockable or let the raw tag character lose half life and set up another unblockable setup.

Sorry if I come across as stupid, but how does any of that (outside Raw Tag) help me avoid the unblockable itself? AFAIU, only Sent can escape via CC using Hard Drive. Waiting to the last hit of RH to XF doesn’t save me from the unblockable setup well before it and Neutral Teching doesn’t stop me from getting caught in RH and having to eat the Unblockable. Am I missing something?
