I meant can she do one of each in the same jump (as in hop, then peakaboo, then round trip) or just one move an then she has to fly to do more?

I can vouch for Hawkeye Poison Arrow that it does work. Just be ready to either back up a bit if you’re in or near the corner. She still gets resets and whatnot if you’re not going to do the pickup after the OTG.

I personally like her chain combo. It works with no problem.

To clarify on traps, You get one of each per jump (as in once you leave the ground. can’t jump>ground trap>air trap>double jump>trap) One of each. Not nearly as bad as it seems as she still can do things in the air (unlike phoenix)

Basiclly Trish staying the same helped her out.

Hmm… I wonder if she’ll be able to Fly combos without an assist now that it’s almost instant? I have a lot of things I need to test tonight/tomorrow.

Eh, it’s fast, but not that fast. You can do something similar to Magneto’s delayed overhead (fly into air S) though. I would love to see someone make up some fly combos though.

Still though, one OTG assist (and you’re playing Trish, why wouldn’t you have that?) and one meter gets Trish about 800k off of one simple BnB combo. I’d say the days of Trish being a low damage character are over. Considering that was the big complaint against her, I really hope she gets more attention this time around.

Trish is easily one of the most dominant characters in the game.

Yep, I believe it. They nerfed her worst threats from Vanilla (Magneto, Dante, Phoenix, cheap meter for free supers) and basically bumped her up.

I’m guessing her toughest matches now will be Dante still, Strange and Strider. Strange because of his tracking projectiles and teleports, and Strider because of his speed and teleports. No escaping that little jerk.

There are a few other characters that may give us trouble now, but I think Trish can also just rush these characters down:

Curious to see if Vergil winds up being an even or tough match-up for her also on the basis of his similar normals + teleport game.

i faced against strider and it doesnt seem as if hes much a threat to unless hes on that ouroboros crack, and it also doesnt seem as if he can do much against her divekick although im still abusing that trish/dante trap so its probably just me, and dr strange…i used him and it seems like he needs to work really hard to get a win off her, strange does not like rushdowns at all. it got me a bit frustrated but spamming his super beats trish off the air at least.

Dormammu is definitely a threat and does insane damage now thanks to mashing supers and that free cross up from his Fwrd.H
Hawkeye - I WAS HOPING THIS WASNT JUST ME, THIS GUY STOPS EVERYTHING. can’t press a button if he has meters that lvl 1 tracking super is gdlk and fast at the same time, zoning is futile and so is attempting to rush down with divekicks. definitely a jerk.

i dont know too much about vergil and trish match up, there was an instance where my divekick beat him out of dimension slash but thats about it, lots of people i hang with are saying with his teleport mix ups and long range fast pokes make it a free match

I feel this match won’t be that bad considering Vergil can’t be much of a threat in the air. Outside of wasting a super for bubbles or swords > formations to force her out the air or block, he can’t do much for her lame outside of random H teleports which are not at all safe alone. (and bubble super has no invincibility nor is it safe on block. Think Wesker in a sense here minus air teleports.

he has the medium 1 that tracks into the air, similar to dantes DOWN+DOWN+S its still something to be feared and also Down+H in air with mashing of H makes him teleport repeatively over the person no matter the location, also vergil can throw his boomerang in the air, and talking about the summoning sword super, he doesnt need formation, if he teleports with it, hes automatically safe from damage unless you dashed away and did a projectile

H teleports tracks above the opponent. M teleport goes behind the opponent on the ground.

Vergil’s Round Trip can be avoided easily. Especially if we’re talking he does a super jump just to round trip. It does come out faster than Trish’s RT but it still takes a moment to come out. As for swords, I feel if he’s going to activate them just to open you up, you have time to either block or figure out what type of mixup the opponent will go for.

Phew man, the new hit stun deterioration and increased ‘floatiness’ of characters is giving me a workout. I’m having to adjust all my Trish combos and combo timings a little bit to compensate. I feel like I’m having to find new places where I can delay the combo to let them fall a little bit, usually after j.:h:'s and standing :h:'s. On the plus side, little else has changed about her. It’s not the “OH GOD WHAT DO” feeling that many Zero players are experiencing right now, for instance.

It’s weird but it seems like you can’t do :d::l: :m: :d::m: :h: :s:. The :h: won’t come out. Amaterasu has this issue as well when she has her sword out - you can only chain so many normals together on the ground. You can do :d::l: :m: :d::m: :s:, though.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing when plaftkaploft asked me to test it. L, M, cM, H seems to work fine if you aren’t already in a combo, but doing it off of a divekick (or stiletto kick I guess, was it always called this?) makes it feel impossible. Very strange. I also noticed the same thing with Amaterasu in glaive stance. getting a standing H to connect after cL, cM, cH, qcf+L, M makes it completely whiff, despite the opponent being in hitstun and the attack looking like it physically goes right into them. You have to just cut it out and go straight into the launcher.

I’m not COMPLETLY sure how the ground series worked, but if u do a basic Bnb, after the Dive kick, Do Standing M, Standing H, Crouch H, then launch. That is what Im beginning to do @ least. I’ve managed to pull off 709k with Trish alone no assist. Alot better than what she could do in vanilla, Thank u mashcom!

I’m kinda jealous of those guys who know how to hack the disc for DLC costumes. I want that Gloria alt. And I want it now.
