Any release date on that?

i think ghost rider is to be feared for people that main trish. Or… Herp Rider. those J.:h: and J. s’s all day

eh, I think it’s definately in the wait and see category right now. Trish can still play the long range game with the best of them. I said a long time ago that Trish would be the Fei Long of MvC3, a character that wouldn’t see many changes, but would rise to the top due to the other characters in the game getting nerfed. I still believe that. She feels reeeaaaaal good in this one. Ghost Rider can probably play pretty lame, but Trish is still the lamest character out there. I think she’ll be able to out-lame him fairly easily.

outlame him as in versus rider or versus the game in general cause the stuff rider does is derptarded, stops her from being in the air / divekicking i cant find another reasonable solution without some assist help. but im planning on using him, i was always that trapping type of person that limits peoples options during gameplay and maybe if i put him on point people will stop x factoring early to kill a trish

anyone else notice that trish doesn’t auto correct in the air when she does an air combo anymore? this really sucks

Regarding flight, startup is significantly faster and also the time she can react afterwards. Also when she activated flight in vanilla she would automatically fly right above the head of the character , I’m using captain America as an example. Now she isn’t even close to being above the head , her knee is at head level now ,also something I noticed was that u can actually cancel the flight with S right before the flight reaches its peek its not that much but it helps, that wasn’t possible at all in vanilla. By the way flight time is the same in both versions 3 seconds

It happened before in Vanilla as well if your timing or spacing was off. It just seems to happen more now in Ultimate given the additional floatiness of characters. I found I could fix the problem by changing the timing of my combos and definitely NOT holding down :s: for the quickest pursuit after a launcher. Just tap it at the right time instead to stay where you want to stay.

Does Trish have a new BnB for Ultimate?

okay so I have had the game since Saturday and here are my thoughts so far on Trish, I think I might be in the minority seeing from what you guys are saying, but I can honestly say she WAS BETTER in vanilla.

I really hate that she can only do 1 trap at a time because I play Trish really lame. Being able to only do one of each special moves in the air is very hard to get used to so far. You can no longer do fake dive kicks which sucks because I used that in vanilla alot(dive kick canceled into hopscotch).I really hate how you can also only do 1 super in the air, which I feel takes away alot of her chip game too. Not only that, but she can’t do shit after doing her air super, she just falls straight down to the ground. OTG Max voltage for me is honestly fucking pointless because I run wesker OTG assist so I always combo my round harvest into an air Max Voltage for about 850-950k dmg

Fly mode is still pretty worthless its only good to get more actions/air dashes. You can’t use it to extend combos, or do Magneto like combos. After a TAC you can go into fly mode and combo, but you can’t do a magneto like loop so whats the point? I have been trying to do fly unfly double jump combos after the TAC but haven’t been able to pull it off.

And this is the kick to why she is worse, her damn dive kick combo doesn’t auto correct! I honestly dropped this combo maybe 3% of the time in vanilla, but now its more like 10-15% because after you launch them you get behind them or some bull shit. This really pisses me off because they pretty much made her BnB combo just random.

Honestly the only good thing that I have found is that its much easier to do the hopscotch combo now, and I think I might be switching to that one as my BnB since Dive Kick Relauch is just so random =/

Oh yea I forgot to add her air throw is still ass. you can OTG max voltage after it, but you get like half the hits at best since they get thrown so far.

Alright there rant end. Idk I REALLY want to stick with her because I have been using her since like day -3 and she is the only character I have remained loyal to, but dang some of these nerfs might be minor to you guys, but it really hurts my playstyle.

the 1 action per trap doesn’t bother me. I still play a very effective lame Trish even with this. Just choose a trap, dive kick cancel into flight, dash around all willy nilly in whichever direction you want to go, and then rinse repeat.

Playing Trish/Vergil/Ammy, she can cover the screen nicely. Rapid slash assist throws them to the other side of the screen and cold star helps for the mixup when I decide to rush them down. If I ever need to go back to lame, I just airdash upback and start trappin shit. OTG Max Voltage is alright. If you have an assist to help pop them up in the air before the super you can maximize the damage more. Plus it’s hard knockdown so people can followup afterwards if you choose so. I honestly don’t see how she’s worse in either lame zoning or straight up rushdown. Just combos are more strict now with the added hitstun.

You can still be plenty lame with her only having one hopscotch outside of flight. If you use flight, you can still do 3.

Eh I disagree. Since Trish can fly off her double jump, you can effectively call assists from the top of the screen to make it easier for her to land and get back in the air. Doing this kinda stuff with Hidden Missiles is super lame and effective. Her flight is much more useful now. If you ever get advancing guarded out of string of ground normals, you can safely fly and Mary Poppins on out of there.

This’ll just take time to get used to. New floatiness means characters are passing behind her when they didn’t before. We’ll figure out the new rules and be back to good soon.

Yeah, seems like pairing her with a quick OTG assist still makes sense for a lot of reasons, this one included.

Her flight mode isn’t for Magneto like combos, but rather gives you better mixup opportunities and safer/extended block strings a la magneto as well as remove the limitation on air actions.

What do you mean the divekick doesn’t auto correct? It feels the same honestly. Dive kick relaunch is exactly the same, but with 2 variations. Using JH>J.2H in the combo guarantees that you stay on the same side, using JM>J.2H guarantees that you cross up midscreen.

Can you explain what you mean by the divekick doesn’t autocorrect anymore?

I thought her airthrow was ass until I realized you can airdash forward or land>dash TK max voltage for a lot more damage(350k off airthrow, and that’s with my terrible mashing skills)

Fake Divekicks still work, I just did 4 divekicks in the air in a row by cancelling the first 3 with her 3 traps.

1 Air Super, while I am kinda sad about it because we can’t timer scam/chip as much anymore, it makes sense because of the OTG max voltage. If she didn’t have that limitation, she could OTG Max Voltage>OTG Max Voltage>OTG Max Voltage>… till meter is done. That would have been pretty dumb

Trish feels exactly the same to me, maybe because I never stayed up in the air putting 3 of the same trap.

yea I know you can go into fly mode etc. but like I said you can’t do fake dive kicks by canceling them into hopscotches. plus after an air super she just fall straight down

well I hope it is something we can get used to, I have already a pretty large amount of time with umvc3 and I still haven’t got used to it =/

Im talking about the dive kick relaunch combo, how they fall out of it or you end up behind them haha

I have tried air dashing after the throw and it does work, I get 356k dmg, but for some reason its hard for me to adf after the throw. do you AD land then TK max voltage?

Yeah, airdashing is weird when you’re low. In those cases I just land, dash up TK max voltage

Try doing the dive kick relaunch with JH>J.2H>5LMH instead of what you’re doing now. Been using it since thursday and never dropped the combo .

alright ill try it later on today, I use to do that one in vanilla but for some reason I stopped doing it and went back to J. M dive kick.
