According to the change log, it’s now possible to do M -> cM -> H or cH. Can you incorporate this to her bnb, and is it even worth it?
I bet it winds up being a good thing to do on block, but once you confirm the hit, you want to get to :h: :s: ASAP.
So far I haven’t had any luck. You can combo M>cM>sH by itself, but it seems very hard to get this to work in a BnB combo, even right at the beginning. You can work M>cM>cH easily into a combo, but as KJunk said earlier that is gona really add to the hit stun decay. I’ll keep testing though. It seems like it should be possible to me, probably just shitty execution.
Air Max Voltage >X Factor>Air Max Voltage for sure works. I tagged it onto the end of my above combo for 955k damage (X factor level 1)
I’m almost positive you cannot do round harvest>Air Max Voltage. The round harvest comes out too slow. By the time you get the Air Max Voltage out the opponent will be standing.
Air Max Voltage is definately a Hard Kockdown and EASILY DHC’s into Viper’s QCB+2atk.
Thanks for testing all this stuff NMumw Good stuff to know going in.
The rest of the initial testing I want to do has to do with new assists and Trish. I’m curious who else can help her do the RDK special, or let her combo after an air throw. Here’s who I would test on those 2:
[]Hawkeye Poison Arrow (angle may be wrong in the corner)
[]Firebrand Firespit downwards thing (may be too slow)
[]Ghost Rider Heartless spire (the fire that shoots up from the ground, range may be an issue outside the corner, speed may be an issue)
[]Ghost Rider Fire breath thing (seems likely to work?)

Iron Fist Overhead Kick that OTGs thing (range may be an issue outside the corner)
Can just do a basic magic series -> air magic series -> knockdown to test these and add fanciness later
Absolutely. I do want to just say before I do any of this that my standard combo with Viper into Viper’s QCB Hyper is a cool 927, 800 damage. I am DEFINATELY dropping Chris for Trish/Viper/Ammy, I don’t care how hard Viper is to use.
And as an Ammy player let me just say that Okami Shuffle>X Factor>Okami Shuffle is alot of fun.
Hawkeye’s is too slow, and the angle is in fact wrong in the corner. It goes over the opponents body. Or it would, if they were still on the ground.
Firebrand is waaaaaaay too slow. It isn’t as slow as Chris/V Joe OTG assists, but it’s gona be useless in combos.
Ghost Rider Heartless Spire works in the corner. Timing is strict though.
Ghost Rider Hellfire is an easy OTG, again though orner only.
Iron Fist Crescent Heel also works. Corner only. The opponent is just barely lifted off the ground by this assist. I’d imagine IF is doing an OTG assist and by the time that Air Max Voltage hit it was already re-OTGing them. You really have to mash S to get it to work in the RDk combo. The opponent is so low to the ground that you don’t have any time to not be mashing on S, or it’ll already be too late.
Nova Centurion Rush…I can’t tell. That thing is slow. He comes out and poses, jumps in the air, and then dives in for the attack. If it does OTG it would have to be preemptively (like Chris and V Joe OTG assists)
None of these seem to work outside of the corner, and all seem to add to hit stun decay alot. Someone with better technical knowledge than me can test more when the game officially drops, but right now it doesn’t look like you can really get a good combo off of OTGing post air throw with an assist.
Awesome, thanks man.
There are some tricks you can do to end air combos closer to a downed opponent which may make some of those assists connect easier outside of the corner. I put them all in this video http://youtu.be/IY90-kwguLE (have to pause it to read the annotations explaining what’s going on). It’s helpful stuff to know for Viper too since her assist is short range compared to someone like Wesker or She-Hulk.
I’m excited mostly for Ghost Rider’s Heartless Spire, since it’s supposedly a really good assist outside of being an OTG too.
I"m gona feel like a fool when you get your hands on the game and all the stuff I said doesn’t work…actually does.
And just because I don’t know if this has been officially clarified: Trish can only do one of each trap per jump. So she can still do hopscotch, peek a boo, and round trip in the same jump, just not more than one of each. Double jumping does NOT reset it, but flying DOES. So you can Hopscotch, Peek a Boo, Fly, Hopscotch, Peek a Boo.
One more thing, Trish (apparently) cannot attack after an Air Max Voltage. Has this always been the case?
Trish doesn’t seem quite as bad as I had originally thought, at least. I still think her nerfs are unnecessary, though. Oh, and I want to know what kind of heavy drugs Killian is on. On stream, he said that Trish was one of the first Vanilla characters done, but that in Ultimate, she got the touchups she needed to really shine. Yeah, Seth, I can see that. Her new combo chain and ultimately negligible OTG super are totally what she needed, especially when balanced against nerfing her air game and lowering her flight time (which was the most pointless thing ever…). Seth’s comments left me thinking that she’d get some awesome buffs or new tech, seeing her changelog is really disappointing.
Oh wow, just watched Max’s Capcom Changelog with Trish in it. Her flight mode startup looks way faster than Vanilla. Was also surprised to see 3 Hop Scotches come out when he did one, then went into flight and did 2 more.
http://youtu.be/XzoAIO6AUAA?t=7m25s if anyone’s interested.
Oh interesting, I’m pretty sure she could do extra actions in Vanilla. I seem to remember throwing multiple Max Voltages in a row to scam out X-Factor timers in the past.
Yeah, she could do multiple Max Voltages in vanilla. I ended up doing that by mistake once when I couldn’t time the DHCs. It seems she falls to the ground after performing a Max Voltages in Ultimate.
PS: And her Voltage assist is still balls in Ultimate. Balls.
That flight did indeed look quite a lot faster, can’t wait to try some Iron Man style fly combos with Trish
SO happy I got Skyrim, when it was this close to the release of Vanilla I was practically DYING, this time it’s much more passive since I have something to distract me. I mean, of course I’m hype as FUCK, but I’m not losing my mind like a 6 year old on Christmas this time lol…
Not only that but Hellfire, Firebrand’s spitfire assists are multi-hitting. The opponent techs and doesn’t give you the chance to set up the RDK. It seems so far that as OTG/ low hitting assist goes - Wesker, X-23, and Viper are still king. Oh and Rocket Raccoon’s Log Trap assist is indeed nice for Trish.

Trish is now wearing the pants in the relationship like she says in her quote. Dante is no longer required to do good damage.
Last combo does like 1mil damage if you mash perfectly. Can build some extra meter by calling an assist right before the otg max voltage
Haha, it reminds me of the same Hidden Missiles extension Honzogonzo does with Taskmaster to chain together additional Taskmaster supers.
Before she could use missiles to combo into Round Harvest and then up into an air Max Voltage, but this seems like it’s adding at least 100k damage. Good stuff!
Can someone confirm and see if the trish infinite still works? It works in mvc3, but don’t have Umvc3 game yet so I can’t test it out.
Do you mean the capture glitch with Deadpool’s Cutting Time hyper and Peekaboo assist?
i think he’s talking about the hopscotch pseudo infinte in xf3
Am I right on thinking she can do one of each “Quarter cirlce back” move during a jump. Or does just get one action per jump like Phoenix?
She can only perform round trip, hopscotch, and peekaboo all in the air only one time per jump. If you flight, you can do more until it runs out. And yes Nini, I am talking about the hopscotch infinite!
