I think I just found my new favorite tournament player.
I would imagine that if traveling really isn’t your thing, then it could be grating and exhausting. Obviously I’m not going to speak for anyone else, but I would be in it for the experience of different local culture, and the social aspect of it all. I love playing games, but what draws me to fighting games is that they are a social tool, and a reason to get out of my own house. As long as I had the means (not so much financially, but time-wise, I guess), then I’d travel to tournament for that purpose. Material worth has basically no value to me, so long as I’m not starving or anything. I tip pretty highly, for example, i.e. leaving 20 bucks for the waiter when the tip is like 5 bucks, because I just don’t care.
Does Justin still have a day job? Because how on earth do you travel 22 times in less than a year and still hold one down?

Sounds like people didn’t have the right assists to deal with Nemmy + drones. Nemesis in a team tournament is legit scary because if you do take that one hit you’re probably losing a character. 2/3 3/5 against Nemmy, I like the other players’ odds though. We’ll see.

Sponsor’s are out of their mind if they don’t want their logo attached to one of Viscant’s vests.
I think the explanation given by Juicebox in one of his interview is that people do not seem to understand the purpose of sponsorships. The primary aim of sponsors is to get visibility and attention to their brand, rather than having some kind of spokesperson for their brand, and because of that the results the players achieved aren’t as important to most sponsors as the attention those players draw. Also, MvC3 has never been as big as SF4, and it’s no incident that most of the sponsored players are big name SF4 players.

You’re right, MvC3 isn’t as big as SFIV. However it’s worth noting that MvC3 came out in 2011 while SFIV came out in 2008/2009 (Japan/rest of world). Might have something to do with that.
