You can TOD without assists on point with Shuma. That’s hardly the point.
Anyone who faces Shuma for the first time is going to have an issue fighting him. Then you realize you can throw him out of mystic smash or that you can run away from him, and he loses his power. What happens when XF runs out? You’re doomed. Against other anchor characters, he’s at a disadvantage. I love his assist and I do play him on anchor, but I am fully aware that his limitations as an overall character are best mitigated when he’s played on point. I agree with Rok regarding his assist. I DO think it’s very solid, but it’s not a top 5 assist. Shuma builds loads of meter. He can TOD. He needs help getting in. All of this tells me he is a point character.
Magnus is a very solid anchor. If the general consensus is that anchor is his best position, I’d certainly move him on my list to that position. I just feel that Magnus with Missiles/Drones is such an oppressive character and can dry out a ton of other anchors with his flight that point is his best position.
Stop trying to argue magneto’s best position. He works in any position. He is that versatile. With the right 2 first characters, him being last is very optimal.
That being said, this tall tale that shuma tods needs to be dissected and destroyed. He only gets tods if he is within a certain vicinity of the corner or is already in the corner. Otherwise, he does a lot less damage. . . certainly not enough to TOD.
Not really. He’s omnipotent in his own dimension and basically destroys reality outside of it. The time he fought Strange it took everything Strange had to beat him when he came into real space.
every character has risks being last like mag is a great but risky anchor because he has solid rush down and zoning but his life is really low that if they x factor him he’s pretty much dead
I love Shuma! I wish that there were more Shuma players, he is extremely entertaining to watch.
I just like Strange more, as he’s my favorite character. The topic had arisen regarding people sleeping on Shuma and I had remembered Strange’s quote and just thought it fit perfectly into the situation. Thus, I posted the quote; I have nothing against Shuma.
You better hold that voice he had back in MVC2 too… You know when he said “Chaos Dimension” back in 2 he really meant it. I like his voice more in MVC2 though. Shit is too legit. Strange is legit too. Stop hating on my ball sack bolts fools!
Numbers are the less important thing about a character when talking about anchor spot, Vergil,Strider,Phoenix,Amaterasu, all of them have low life and die in one combo even without x-factor and are considered some of the best anchors in the game, also if Vergil or Wesker x-factors you, you are gonna die even if you have 1,250,000 life.
true but I just love my big health bodies mainly because it takes longer to kill and most people dont practice combos on them so they sometimes drop it but you have a very good point
