I always liked when someone has a sliver of health, and you hit them with c.LK to kind of toe tap their ankle. Like the character was standing strong in their fight pose, but their big toe getting clipped was enough to push them over the edge. KO
On a random day Next Level is empty as hell. I walk in and sometimes randomly find spooky and some other guy playing a game or something. Thereâs really no reason to go because its not necessary to go to next level to play games. These are console games. Its sad, but NY still has a strong scene.
I donât think itâs right to really complain about NYC having NLBC although condolences that the scene is getting less active. Itâs bound to happen with the games we have recently and Evo just happening TBH.
I donât really pity Next Level. At least there* is* a Next Level. I would kill for a place to regularly meet up with people from the entire state that didnât require me to go 2 hours out of my way.
Itâs not a surprise with all I hear about the place. Laggy setups, setups with no sound, no ac, and supposedly rodent problems I wouldnât go myself.
I figured as much, I think thatâs the symptom of home consoled arcades. Then again I saw
Plenty of SF/animu people there. Itâs no fun beating scrubs so I donât blame them.
Tis true though you will find spooky there. Dudes a true lover of games period. Everytime its some card game. Donât say nothin to him though, just a guy I happen to know of doing his thing.
Does CTF have Marvel? Guess ill just get down with my central park crew. CPC tech what what
New CTF does have marvel, though last I was there was the weekend of the grand reopening. Could have changed. Mostly its kiddy/amusement type types though if you go to the Guitar Hero arcade you will see ChrisGâs name on almost every song with Flux just underneath him on a few. Somewhere on my phone I captured the moment of Salt when Flux saw he got second to ChrisG on like his song or something.
Gotcha, much closer to me than NL but then again if noones there whatâs the point. Thereâs an arcade bar in williamsburg wonder if they have marvel, k sorry for the hijack
Monday night there is a gaming group called Mashfest, if I remember right. Next door to midtown comics (42nd street), from about 7 to 11. Itâs not really a tournament, or maybe it is now, but basically if you are 21 you can go in (serves alcohol). People who arenât necessarily part of the community proper show up and last I went everyone was very chill. Variety of games, and the popularity has jumped up recently.
I donât get to it often ( or at all ) due to schedule issues but if you got a free monday night check that shit out.
