There really isn’t any point character Doom/Vergil that counters Morridoom. Viper or Chris in front of that maybe gets close, but still not as good as having jam session or jam session + beam. Magneto/Doom/Vergil or Zero/Doom/Vergil is the best version of that team that doesn’t include Morrigan herself, and that shit isn’t good enough to call a direct counter yet IMO either.
Plus if you’re a Morrigan/Doom and worried about X/Doom/Vergil (which really doesn’t have much tech for beating Morrigan other than beam and Vergil dropping), just put Vergil in the back so your Vergil can drop also.
Doom/Vergil is nowhere near the best shell nor is it a counter morrigan. It’s not even a top 10 shell

Doom/Vergil is pretty strong. Mostly because even though Doom sucks with just Rapid slash he can stall well and build excess meter then SJ photon array and bring in Vergil safely by DHC so he can get started with XF2 + meters + beam or missiles. I do think its overrated but it is whats winning right now so…

Don’t get me started on Australian commentary. They think its the most okay to just copy yipes and western commentators. That grand finals was fantastic though. Solid stef does some cool stuff with team kusoru.
Also my gut tells me lanhammer is probably more entertaining but my east coast bias has kept me glued onto summerjam all of today.

The guy facing Fourth Star had no clue how to fight those setups. Running randomly into Stalking Flare, not trying to use air Samurai Edge at all, that was just gross.
