I played online on ygopro last week with a friend (neither of us had played yugioh since we were kids), and it was a lot of fun. We tried out some some really good decks and figured out a lot in a short amount of time.
If any of you guys wanna play on that pm me, we can skype and play or something.
Oh sure, you had a bit of fun. So did my friends when they first played MvC3. Then (we’re talking about Vanilla here), they ran into Jean. Never played again.
We had plenty of those moments actually. At the beginning my friend was playing lightsworn and I thought judgement dragon was the cheapest thing ever. Same when I first saw Gorz.
Later on I played fire kings and realized how dumb that deck was when I got two garunix’s out and they would wipe the field each turn.
I’m sure there’s a ton of other dumb shit but that’s part of why its fun, same with marvel.
I’ve run aliens-quasar (my own specially made deck)
Geargias
Fairies
Darkworlds
Synchrons
Of all the things i can do with these decks, i can’t believe konami would actually make a deck that is beast on offensive, beast on defense (THEY GET A STRONG ASS CARD CUZ YOU DESTROYED THEM) and beast in drawing
Fuck mermails. Not as bad as full potential inzectors, but still stupid
edit: whoops, no gravekeeper. someone else told me that was top 8 at worlds. guess it was 6 dragon ruler 2 prophecy.
oh well, stream tomorrow for UCC… probably a decent amount of marvel . probably be on http://www.twitch.tv/mattiikus_gaming/ i’ll see if i can get on commentary for the DFW invitational and other things.
It was 6 DRuler and 2 Prophecy indeed. Though Prophecy made it to Top 2. God damn Blaster…ruining the US once again. Anyway…
Banlist is officially revealed Tuesday anyway so the format’s thankfully done.
Still though, if Fire Kings are frustrating you AniMoney, it’s best you just back out now. Save yourself the pain. Stick to Marvel where the blowups make sense.
It’s still really nothing compared to what Rulers and Prophecy were bringing. Plus you can either get better or worse depending on what happens on Tuesday.
Still again, this is what’s actually good about Marvel. The meta DOESN’T constantly change on Capcom’s whims. You’re welcome.
I was actually beating Prophecy this format, my worst matchup was Evilswarm. Also the deck has no chance of being hurt by the banlist, it will only get better.
