JWong outplayed him the entire match and lost to one character + XF3. This game is like No-Limit Hold emâ: No matter how well youâre playing, youâre one bad beat from being out of the tournament.
(But, yes, I agree that XF2-3 Vergil is completely broken)
Snap him in or face the consequences. Justin made some big mistakes, even when he played the match correctly he couldnât seal the deal. Iâm actually surprised the team super didnât kill him in the one round but it was off a throw, you canât risk letting him live. Shadyâs Morrigan was good enough in the final round to force Justin to waste his X right away, which is what Shady wants.
Basically weâre back to playing Vanilla Phoenix games, only itâs much worse now.
There are ways around this. If you want anchor Vergil and you have Morrigan on your team, you can start the match by putting him on point and feeding him meter. If you get a hit, you can chose to kill or go into DT then DHC into Astral. Now you have Vergil in the back with better escape options.
Start Vergil then IMMEDIATELY go into DT. Release round trip and tag in Morrigan. (/salty)
You can also choose to put Vergil second, conserve meter with Morrigan, then DHC into DT.
You can get a hit with Morrigan, TAC into Doom, build 5 meters then DHC all the way through to DT.
Doom w/ Butter Gun + Rapid Slash is fairly potent. One hit and now you can DHC into DT and use XF2 Vergil.
If you donât time the incoming properly, Dimension Slash will get Vergil in play.
Morrigan/Doom/Vergil has a lot of options for getting XF3 Vergil in play. Snapping is still a good option, but there are counters to it. As you said, itâs much worse. Point Vergil backed by Harmonizer and Missiles is a monster.
Yeah Justin made execution errors he shouldnât have made in the last game that would have led him to killing Vergil and getting better momentum in the match to win it (the corner snap whiffing at 6:44). He didnât look like he has any trouble dealing with Morrigan/Doom anymore which is a big step from âoh god gotta XF Morriganâ. That was part of the reason why people found the team so insurmountable early because they couldnât run their Vanilla XF1 style tactics to win the match. Finally people are realizing that the only person you should regularly be spending XF on in that match is Vergil.
You just canât fuck up the basic stuff against Dark Vergil teams this late in.
Funny how some people seem to have sorta ventured away from Vergil. Is in the Vanilla Phoenix syndrome?
I want âearnâ my wins lol, this the game we play indeed!
>Wolverine stupidity
>outplaying
How did he outplay him if he failed to beat 1/3 of his team? Failure to exploit the game to the fullest is not outplaying in the least no matter how much people want Justinâs cum.
