Once we figure this whole tier thing out, I say that we petition capcom to give all the A’s and S’s black trenchcoat & shades alt costumes…and everyone calls Wesker by the name of Albie.
Maybe it’s me or online, but I feel that Viper looses to Hulk. That gamma charge tears through her seismo zoning and optic blast is too risky to do any less than 3/4th screen distance away
Also a good MODOK is very frustrating
She also has plenty of 5-5 match-ups, lets bring Viper down from that pedestal just a tiny bit guys.
You forgot to mention that his normals can totally be counter poked by everyone, he needs to work so very hard for those hits. </sarcasm>
I don’t think this game could handle Zero with a trenchcoat and shades. It would probably crash if he took the glasses off.
Zero cracks a boob light, 30% decrease in buster charge time. Boob light breaks, 70% decrease in buster charge time.
That’s why the game wouldn’t allow him to take it off. lol
Also I guess we would have to give firebrand a nice black scarf since a trenchcoat wouldn’t fit his body type.
There is no reason why you cannot theorize about a character’s overall strength, it just has nothing to do with a tier list. Zero is clearly designed to be played on point to devastating effect. It wouldn’t do anyone any good to know that if you pick the wrong team order and then you’re controller breaks so you can’t reassign them, Zero becomes an A tier character.

I’d imagine that with a good beam assist, Hulk would have a hard time getting in. But that’s taking assists into account, and I honestly don’t know Viper very well (the minutiae), so I’ll just stop here before I talk out of my ass, heh.

Loses is a bit strong, but Hulk does better than you would expect against Viper. However, when you combine her zoning tools and Hulks weaknesses it’s still looking like a 6-4 matchup.
Also, Viper has some even match ups, mostly against the other top tier characters. Anyone below that…
In my honest opinion, at the point, I think most characters are competitive with the right team, so I don’t see many match ups getting to far beyond 6-4 when the game is actually being played, the problem is that 6-4 snowballs when your characters start dying and your forced into snap mixups on the incoming guy. There are a few though really bad match ups though, see Haggar vs Magneto.

Also, she’s got some 5-5’s and even one or two 6-4’s (Zero/Firebrand).

The only buff Viper really needs is her Vanilla win portrait back, I cant stand the portrait in this game. Oh and flight…and let’s just throw in a air ex Seismo for the hell of it.

That video also reminded me, if Capcom does eventually add X (very doubtful given Zero’s Alt), he should have Shoryuken and Hadoken just to be awesome.
the win poses in this game suck, i want vanilla’s win screen back, the only portrait that needed to be changed was jill’s (ugly bitch face)
what assists would make haggar optimal, i mean, he’s nasty on point but only with at least one beam assist
also, haggar and arthur seem to have really good synergy together, and it doesn’t matter which one is on point, the assist one provides the other looks to be the best assist for that character
so if haggar gets better on point, more arthur usage?
