When tiering, how derpy you are doesn’t make you good. When playing in a tournament it does. Now MODOKS normals are actually better than a lot of people think. It’s just scary because visually they don’t make a lot of sense. I tried recently during a meetup to dash in with c.L with MODOK. Funny thing is, it worked VERY well lol. His c.L hits more than in Vanilla but I wouldn’t suggest it against some characters like Wesker/Deadpool who get extremely low during their crouching animation, but who crouches against MODOK? FOOLS! When playing MODOK I believe mid screen is his BEST range. If you are playing MODOK backed with the right assists you can be a nightmare as you pressure forward with cubes, shield, 3H, and throw punish the brave. You WILL make it to the corner where TOD, jamming bomb/reset is highly likely.
I contest that it’s not that MODOK isn’t good, its that the players who play MODOK aren’t good enough. He’s not an easy character to play. IMO he’s probably one of the hardest in the game to play. In all honesty however I think MODOK may have been better in Vanilla. (As were a lot of other characters due to different HSD)

Yeah I agree with that those are all top of the line assist as well. To be honest that was more of a “Assist that make me salty” tear list. 
I wasn’t mashing. Beam super does 50 hits mashed. # of hits on Fireball super is somewhat distance/hitbox affected (does like 90 hits to Tron fully mashed, maybe less on smaller characters). I tried again and got variations of 44-50 hits on beam super (my timing isn’t perfect or anything). It doesn’t have any notable amount of invincibility.

Deadpool is vastly underrated (I play him on point and I would argue that he has the second best keepaway game in umvc3)
Ryu is probably in rank B, that’s my fault.
And, I remembered that I basically copied this list from December and merely made a few changes. Thus, I realized that the list was made prior to the Phoenix Wright assist nerf. I’ll edit the Ryu and Phoenix Wright placements. Ryu is now in the middle of rank B and Phoenix Wright the second worst character in the game.
Ironman worse than Phoenix Wright.

why are folks rating nova so high so often… i really don’t understand the character’s method of opening people up outside of counterhits since he’s somewhat lacking in a pressure game

I can find nothing about PW that’s legitimately better than Iron Man. Anything that might come close is still killed by the random factor of the character.
Oh and you’re not trying hard enough if you can’t open people up with Nova + assists. Especially considering the damage he does if he hits you.

This might be the wrong forum to post this in, but I just faced someone really solid with Jill on point and I had no idea what to do… suggestions?
I honestly thought Phoenix Wright was better than Iron Man when he had the invincible assist.
