MODOKS Hyper Psionic Blaster needs to do unscaled damage and have no cube limit.
In other words we need more incentive to do cube combos.
I think he needs buffs but not those he’ll be more broken than he is now O_o

MODOK isn’t broken now. Do we play the same game? You can even make a case for him being low mid tier. With infinite CUBE stacking he’d be a threat if you left him alive is all as he is, MODOK is more of a meta game tactic than a real THREAT per say. Racking up cubes is not as easy as you think.
firstly I’ll start out by saying I’m not a great modok but I know we have only just seen what MODOK can do, a while back there was a video on youtube showing of what he can do with all his roms and so on. Adding to this in his TAC infinite he uses cubes so if it was limitless by guessing wrong once could make you lose the match.
Like I said I’m not a very good MODOK but I can still get 4 cubes in a combo of a grab and I suck at combos
If Modok is broken you need to pick better characters.

I’ll admit he’s more broken on paper than actually in game mainly because of how hard it is to it and what you have to make your team like
And once you use Hyper Psionic Blaster you lose ALL your cubes. It’s not like you can choose to lose 4. Even with MODOK TAC combos you aren’t getting much more than 10 cubes. Infinite stacking just means it would still add to damage, shield count, jamming bomb count etc. As is I can score 12 cubes and still only get 9 jamming bombs. Past 9 cubes the beam super maxes out on damage and scales if done at the end of most high cube count combos.
With infinite stacking it just means if MODOK has 14 cubes or so he could probably kill a level 1 character off of a stray level 1 beam super. That would be a nice ace in the hole to have. That way if you stacked 20 cubes you MODOK would be actual viable XF3 character! Unscaled block damage on 20 cubes XF3? Stacking cubes at least takes work and management. As is there’s very little reason to even use HPB outside of certain DHC’s to add combo damage.
PS. MODOK is nowhere near broken on paper. There’s no way a character with no crouching low that can’t chicken block will ever be broken on paper with the tools MODOK has.
I see what you are getting at but unscaled on block as well now that is completely broken.
also on paper he can TOD of jump S or grab and also with doom you can fly to the top of the screen so you can not get damaged call missiles then fly over them so they can not hurt doom and do that for the entire game and thats just one of the features he has.
also he works as an anti top tier character it seems. He avoids it all like morri doom he can just avoid it and dark phoenix he can just run away…
Being able to fight a top tier character does not equal anti top tier character/broken character. What goes up, must come down and everytime MODOK comes down he risks getting crossed up or thrown. Anybody plus missiles is good. TOD is not some anomaly (MODOKS Jump S is actually pretty slow) Not being damaged is not the same as doing damage, just a stall tactic.
If someone loses to DOK call missiles the entire game they suck balls, they’re not good. He also can’t run away from DARK Phoenix as effectively as he used to. (Who really freaks out about Dark Pheonix nowadays anyway)
Block damage is still just…block damage. WTF lol

Dark Phoenix still rapes Modok because she’ll have a teleport trap mix up ready when you eventually have to fall and it only takes one to kill you. MODOK is on a shitty part of the team if he’s having to fight Dark Phoenix to begin with.
A lot of people beat Doom via lame out or runaway so that’s nothing new. Doom’s not that good really outside of support compared to the top tiers.
ok so im really late to the party on this one but…
vergil is such a fucking bullshit character. i played one yesterday and basically he repeatedly OCVd me using vergil. 50/50 mixup from anywhere on screen using mags ray assist, and then death for that character due to endless sword loops. total fucking bullshit. i didnt even get to play the game for more than 5 secs at a time.
Yeah he’s one of those characters you just can’t let stay on the screen very long. Make sure you snap him or put a really strong incoming mix up on him if he’s anywhere but the first spot (most Vergil players don’t play him on point). He’s easy to stop before he starts if you land the first hit in the match, but once he starts you might not get to start.
They need to remove moves that are unsafe on hit.
