What do you mean? This game is ass. It needs more Chuck Norris.
Till this day im still trying to figure out what the hell is Tempest
Summons metallic rocks from a pocket dimension and fires them at you? idk
Quicksilver Dante with Squirtle’s Surf assist would be broken.
thats what i meant with I.Fist a rapid fire c.:l: that is a low and be able to act off his ability to destroy projectiles how are those stupid suggestions?
Yeah, you didn’t mention any of that in your original post. We’re communicating through text here, be more clear.
when reading your posts I feel my intelligence dropping
So officially…no more new patches/adjustments? Eh. My dedicated playstyle/team is at a serious disadvantage at all times in this borked game, and i’m still doing well for myself lately against the competition.
If i could ask for one thing to be fixed in this game though…put in command for rolling away. Pretty much every obnoxious TOD combo revolves around your character snoozing upon knock down. Being able to roll away at will would take out a lot of the cheese.
No more FREE OTGs.
Meh…they did what they did because they want everyone to be a combo artist from the get go. You always have a fall back combo regardless of your skill level is essentially what they were trying to do. They’d have to do a lot of stuff to make the combo system more “fair” but you pretty much just have to play around hitting someone before they hit you regardless.
Just let players roll away at will. That fixes a lot of things right there, and makes the game feel a lot less like rock/paper/scissors.
I get that Capcom was perhaps trying to make the game more newb or casual friendly, but imo, it backfired. The TOD factor in this game makes things one hell of a lot more nerve raking, and casuals find fighting games intimidating as it is.
Not that they’d have stuck around for long anyway. Most gave up within the first few months once the Fantasy Vesus pizazz gimmick wore off. Leaving just the fighting game community once again. They either care about fighters or they don’t.
You’re right. CAPCOM, WE NEED A THIRD MEGAMAN! AND BE QUICK ABOUT IT!
I agree not on the rolling thing but I just feel like the game is punishing me for using Pwright or picking any low tier for that matter. I mean you can win with them but it’s always going to be a uphill battle some stepper then others just wish they buffed the low tier chars so they have something to bring to the table like pre nerf Wright but hey Wright needed that nerf and zero and vergil are just balanced.
In my opinion the untechable knockdown time for just about everything in this game is way too long. Its kind of absurd just how much time you have to convert off a lot of things, especially in a game where mastering movement is essential to high level play.

a command techroll should’ve been the standard from the start, but to make sure all characters have universally comboability they added untechable times. I disagree with the notion of watching nova dance back and forward for 2 seconds then otg me to finish his super because he can, or haggar trading with me, and because he has pipe has enough time to get up and finish his combo, because untechable times are like 5 seconds for him
But I wholeheartd’ly believe that sometime in early 2013 we will see a 3rd upadate similar to AE with those 8 characters. Capcom knows that they want the meta-game to evolve more. and even at evo nitsuma was taking notes. So its almost a shoe in to me. Why take notes on a finalized game, unless you have a mapped out road you want to take in terms of updating your game. And plus the FGC members will feel cutt off too soon, if you keep patching and adding when new tech is being discovered. Kubuto glitch, TAC infinites, Unscaled moves Lightning loops etc. These add to the marvel appeal, and i assure you when that 3rd update comes someone will be upset, if its alter’d.
Yeah if anything does happen at this point it will most likely be some type of downloadable upgrade to the game. I don’t really see them doing another set of patches here and there because they might as well do something that will actually make some money and give more to the players.
It’s just obvious at this point that the game will not be altered or redone for the near future. If anything is updated it will most likely be some downloadable upgrade to the game and not just a simple patch.
Overall though I really don’t feel like anything will happen period. He could probably be taking notes for a future game that he may come up with in the future and not necessarily something based around UMVC3. If the team really is disbanded like what has been said…there’s no way for it to physically occur unless they somehow magically start working together again. Usually after this long of a time frame (going on a year now) the development team usually goes and does other shit.
The same thing sort of happened with Soul Calibur IV, and with some hope (and petitions) people got Soul Calibur V.
Well that’s like a completely new game. That’s like asking for MVC4. You got better hope petitioning for something they can try to start fresh and make new money for than an upgrade to this game. Joe Shmoe is not going to clamor for an upgrade to this game. They’re having a hard enough time making SFxT work which is basically the pre Daigo Parry 3rd Strike ATM.
That’s why there’s petitions everywhere for Darkstalkers 4 because it’s something fresh that will get Joe Shmoe to actually look and something that hardcore players will find refreshing also. Which means Capcom will actually care to do something.
