I didn’t think I needed to elaborate, because the default opinion would seem to be that it was an accident. That position should honestly not require any clarification at all. I’m not claiming the grass is orange; I’m claiming that the game is breaking on accident, not on purpose.

Radical idea: What if this game was played like SFxT (KOing one character wins the round, probably 2/3 or 3/5 cause the rounds would go quicker)? What if it had to be the point character?
Meter carries over from the previous round. If you KO Phoenix at 5 bars, you do not win, Dark Phoenix Rises, and play resumes as normal.
If you counter a TAC the opponent should fall to the ground and be put into a dizzy state (like She Hulk and Haggar can put you into), allowing you to combo them to death while skipping a c.L. This would also get to use the dizzy animation again because its fucking awesome and you never see it!
That’s just my stupid idea though, I’m sure Capcom has something much better cooked up! (they don’t)

FullBLeed please stop theory fighting. There aren’t enough characters that can take advantage of TAC’s and since infinites aren’t going to become the meta in the foreseeable future of UMVC3 there’s no point in pitching a fit about how people can keep you in a combo for a few more seconds and still need 1,2, sometimes even 3 meters to finish you off.
Also there have been 2 occasions of the TAC counter being punished by the counter-er in road to evo events, so it is possible just difficult and underutilized.

Anyway, I think if they would patch the game they should just take TACs out as a whole. Your losing a character and they get another random advantage because you lost a game of rock paper scissors.
I think it would be fair if a TAC cost half a bar, and:

[]down: get a bar and a half (net +1 bar)
[]side: enemy loses 1.5 bar
[*]up: 15K+ damage
[/LIST]
Random or not is no matter. What matters is how they affect the game.

Ya know evo was totally over run with tac infinite and was the recent norcal vs Socal 8 on 8…

Yeah that was Nova’s infinite that does no damage and requires you to do it for 35 Marvel seconds to kill a full health character. LOL.
Just can’t get hit in this game unfortunately.
The Doom infinite is the future. It actually kills before the heat death of the universe.
The Doom infinite is really troll because you can barely get it started before they die.
The doom infi is actually amazing because your marlin pie goes into infi.
