- Freezeey Peak was the fucking beeeeeest. I love big worlds in plaformers and even better was this one had a Christmas theme, a giant thing to scale, multiple flight sections, and awesome music.
- Mad Monster Mansion was and always will be so confusing for me. The worst is when you have some stupidly high number of notes going for the 100 and die only to find the ones you wanted first on the runback.
- Click Clock Wood is Freezeey Peak tier with some of MMM’s issues. Weird.
- I used to get so hype when I’d open a new note door in Grunty’s Lair just because at that age, it felt like the game was getting bigger instead of getting closer to ending.
- Rusty Bucket Bay was uggggggggggggggh. Like, I can’t completely hate it since it’s a part of the overall package, but that shit was Vanilla Marvel levels of cheap. Instadeath everywhere, most of the level is covered in shit that’ll make you hesitant to move (I definitely developed some weird gamer PTSD dealing with enemies that knock you into the oily water), and then to make things worse, there’s a section in there for an item you need in the overworld… Fuuuuuu
- I always wondered what was behind some of the doors at the very top of Gruntilda’s Lair. Sucks Stop n Swop wasn’t a thing back then. Stop n Swop in the Xbox version was a cash grab for attention because Microsoft.
