Block things by prediction instead of just going “I’ll block it when I see it”. Not only does it make you a bigger threat, but it allows you to set up chicken block punishment, makes zoning and punishing careless moves easier, and helps with your movement and positioning as well.

Bleh, practice isn’t really the issue. You just have to account for the fact that some things will not work as well (such as blocking stuff on reaction in worse connections). You need to learn to predict your opponents better.
The answer to online Marvel it to become legitimately good with Hawkeye. Not only do 99% of online scrubs not know how to handle his most basic arrow formations for keepaway and chip, but it will help you in a tourney setting as well just in case you need to counterpick someone’s Team NYC.

Honestly, I have come to realize that online Marvel is an almost entirely different monster so I’ve tried to stop complaining about it. I still get pissed off regularly, though, because even without the online factor trying to identify the action in Marvel is like trying to see a solar flare by looking directly into the sun.
