aoa is primarily a defensive tool for crushing dead angles and DP. It’s way to unsafe and slow to use for mixup consistently.

Some characters can set up a safe AoA such as Youske or Labrys.

Unrelated. Youske has a really easy unblockable. I haven’t tested it much to see if you can get out easily though.

Jojos is a classic game with fantastic animation and great art when it came out. Let me just get that out of the way first. It stands up as one of the best looking 2D fighters of its era.

However what Capcom has done is not in the least bit honest. The game is running as an upscaled and then pixel aproximation filtered version of the original. By it’s very meaning the game is not “High Definition”

High definition has to do with the resolution of the output and assets displayed. The sprites and backgrounds are still the original resolution and were not increased in size or definition or redrawn. The game is no more “HD” than making a 240p youtube video full screen and then forcing anti-aliasing on your video card would make a video “HD”

Does Capcom realize that what they are doing could potentially be considered lying to their consumers? Do they not realize what the term “High Definition” means?

Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix WAS an “HD” game because you took the time to redraw all the content at a higher resolution, the sprites were over 5x larger and MORE DEFINED than the original sprites.

I’m perpetually having that problem in that game.

I’ve been playing Chie because she’s easy. But Youske has some cool stuff and Labrys has the best colors.
