That’s… weird. I suppose this is Capcom’s way of nerfing MODOK’s runaway shenanigans.
I wouldn’t take that to heart value just yet, there are rumors that has never happen before.
We should have people like No99, Royal Flush,etc test the game.
If that’s true, then that is supreme bullshit of the highest order. OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.
It’s not that his bomb assist was indestructible, its just the only version that worked properly. His bombs are supposed to have a medium priority duribility point which means ANY low priority projectile shouldn’t be able to get rid of it. However this is another bug and seems just about any low priority projectile can kill it off, even hysteric.
Cancelling out of air means you can probably use his blast in the air, dash cancel down forward, and relaunch them before they hit the ground similar to doom in order to get them to the corner easier.
Sure hope his bugs get fixed and he doesn’t get nerfed.
Both the assist and the normal version are clearly glitched out. The assist version survives high priority super beams which is much more than a mere medium priority projectile. Likewise, it doesnt collide with other projectiles at all…they just pass through it. Perhaps indestructible is not the best word to describe it.
The guide doesn’t tell you how many durability points MODOK’s assist bomb have. It actually says that MODOK’s bomb doesn’t create contract with another projectile. Rather it’s not indestructible, it’s intangible to most projectiles in the entire game.
The point version is definitely glitched.

Honestly, is MODOK were to come out unchanged, that would be fine. All his worst match ups were nerfed, and the system is being tweaked to encourage zoning more anyhow. He gets buffed from the get go.

Unfortunately, I didn’t really find anything new, except maybe his grab range got slightly better and his up-back and down-back air dashes are immediately cancelable into any attack (this second change I found during the EVO build).
awesome videos! why are so many MODOK players planning on Iron Fist teams lol. everything looks about the same to me too. Better grab range would be ridiculous! So airdash canceled normals and up-back/down-back airdashes being cancelable are looking like the only surface level changes…slightly buffed then? Relative to the rest of the cast I think MODOK is going to be fine in Ultimate. I cant wait to play around with his airdash cancels for new combos…hype!

As for Iron Fist… I gotta say that he seems fairly “bleh” to me, but whatever floats your boat, right? I’m just hoping rocket raccoon works well in Modok combos.
