I like the TAC system better because there’s only one choice that actually builds meter. Which means less free meter flowing into the opponent just because they did down or forward tag. I don’t mind forward tag taking away a meter since meter is generally ridiculously easy to build in this game.
Are you fucking serious? Wesker had some terribly hard to avoid mixups. Like you know it’s coming but you can’t do shit about it. Lockdown assist> command grab or C.L is terribly strong as it covers your only 2 options which are blocking or chicken blocking. His command grab has amazing range as well, you should stop using the bad version

BRAVO to my pint of view this is what game developers need to do if they really want a balance game a clear example was sf4 vanilla about sagat first you nerf hem like theres no tomorrow ok but buf the rest of the cast what happen next sagat useless and now ppl that was crying are happy but the sagats users sad and piss off so the loop in here its if ppl use wolv are gonna say why my char and not the other or just leavening behind

The more it gets brought up, the greater my want for it. I’m going to bring it up on the stream if there’s an opportunity for suggestions or character decisions or whatever, provided I can get back to my hotel in time and hope lag doesn’t destroy the stream.

Actually if you’re actually paying attention to high level play you do. There’s zero risk in going for them. Zero. None. Not all players abuse them but they’re definitely abuse-able. And I have a huge problem with the change to them as demoed so far in UMvC3 as while I’m not opposed to mechanics that drain the opponents meter it shouldn’t be that easy or that random.
She hulk got the TAC glitch that makes her able to relaunch taken out I believe. I didn’t see Floe doing it, and I heard somewhere that they couldn’t do it any more. Sentinel got buffed afaik. He kinda needed it. The only thing that got nerfed about him is his XF damage, which is the only problem I had really.
From what I have understood you can read your opponent’s TAC direction via the new color system and then counter accordingly. The counter window is really huge in UMvC3. So on paper, it should be less guessing/mashing involved…
Sentinel assist being buffed has me thinking about using him with X23 now. Those drones are perfect for her mirage feints and the faster start up means they’re more reliable to call once she gets in. If I were to do that I’d probably end up making a seperate team based entirely around her though. Probably something like X23/Doom/Sent in the back. I still love having a beam based assist to back up X23’s air talon attacks to get her in so I can’t drop that doom beam either. I’ll still continue to main my Dante based team with X23 giving him an unblockable and Doom beam letting him do whatever the hell he wants.

I don’t think I’ve ever hit down exchange in a TAC yet until I got the opponent trained to know I would hit up virtually ever time. Up exchange combos tend to be easier to perform, and the damage multiplier is cumulative and lasts until the combo counter resets. I’ve never been desperate enough for meter to use down, especially on a Phoenix team, where I’d like to keep my ground bounce should I want to finish the combo with Phoenix herself. Side exchanges cost me the corner to often to like as a choice at all.
Anything new on Spider-Man? Does he finally have an OTG? Or a smarter Maximum Spider that doesn’t get stuffed by random crap?
yes they cant do anymore but i guess i put wrong my commentary the problem its not she. the think i can get its why chris has more slow on normals than her i mean hulk its “slow” because its a big dudge and shes not? dante has more slow normals because of hes range ok but in close combat he dont have much options and she hulk have bery good range task has a insane range and he is very fast so whats happen there thats the reason that sometimes the game with 50/60 characters ends with 15 or 20 like in the previous mvc2 and thats sucks man. hope the developers see that you can take off the stupid stuff like glich and make the other characters more competitive
They’re not going to give Spider Man an OTG move. Like Captain America, Capcom wants you to build a team around him so you’ll most likely still be forced to use specific characters to complete him.
Might be too much to wish for, I guess. Although it’s kinda confusing how a lot of characters are pretty complete and have OTG moves, but some don’t.
I really hope that Spider-man’s web throw damage scaling isn’t nerf because Spider-man will literally becoming a less effective character without it. The whole reason why Spider-man does good damage is because of web throw. That would hurt Spider-man as hard as Gen losing his Vanilla technology in SF4.
It’s literally done on purpose to force you to make Spider Man the heart of your team. He’s just designed to be up first with assists loaded. Capcom probably feels he’s a really completely character when the team is based around him even if it may still not be the best thing ever for tournaments. I would generally like to see some strong Spider Man based teams going into Ultimate especially with his possible buffs.
It seems they are cutting down on the characters who can otg into their hypers. Felicia and sentinel can’t otg into their respective hypers anymore(at least thats what seth said)
