Shit. Now I’m concerned about her ability to build meter since that’s her only reliable way to generate just even normal damage. Hope she gets a slight damage buff or something.
This is America. People will still be using Wesker over Felicia alone just because he’s easier to use even with the nerf. Plus the main thing that kept people playing Wesker was that he was one of the best in the game at controlling space and had and will probably still have some of the most retarded good normals in the game. Including ones people barely use like his s.H which anti airs everything, covers half the screen, beats most lows and is easily hit confirmable all at the same time (seriously?). It’s also zero on block and cancellable into anything on hit/block/whiff and keeps you closer to the opponent than his launcher that people already complain about. There’s no reason to write off a character that has 3 command grabs that are all 1 frame start up and his wave dash is so good that the “lack of range” on it is barely noticeable. Anytime Wesker dashes forward with a special or normal it basically becomes a half screen normal or special any way. You can also kara his L command grab to give it about the same range as his c.L.
He can still easily do 500k without burning a meter and this is considering this is a character that people will still fear because he’s designed to be a character that can lame out with a gun while turning that lame into offense from anywhere on the screen via his teleport especially with assists. Wesker never really has to work to get in. Especially with an assist he can pretty much choose when he wants to get in and his gun shuts down obvious tri dashing from all the 10 moar years characters and can comfirm into full combos from a range that is nothing but hilarious. Apparently Dark Wesker is even faster now so good luck having any better time not getting hit by that. He has plenty enough stupid ass tools and mix ups that will keep him viable even in a high damage game with lower health.
Wesker is one of those characters where no matter where you put him on the team he’s going to be a problem just like he’s always been. If you wanted to kill Wesker before you put him in one combo then reset him in another combo or just DHC glitch him on first hit and he died like he had 900k health already. Yet he still was a terrorizing force in the last game even though you could do plenty of things to one or 2 combo kill him.

Yeah, because currently, TACs are soooo broken right now. You see them being abused all the time in higher-level play, right?
I remember ever since E3, players kept telling Capcom to “un-TvC” the game… and they did. I’m willing to bet that the “if you counter a TAC you start up your own combo” mechanic got removed in the process with UADs for that exact reason.
No assist calls during Float state is bleh. Do not want. She’ll need a pretty hefty base damage boost to make up for shorter combos, no assist during float, and lack of the DHC glitch. Fair/Foul Winds is not going to make up for those by itself.

Yeah what is up with people saying that Strider bleeds “super super hard”? I know a lot of people on forums make an unnecessary deal about health in this game but, I’m really starting to think Strider is going to have less health than Zero the way people are talking about him. Realistically it’s probably the same as Zero but with his potential it’s probably possible Capcom made him the first sub 800k health character that isn’t Phoenix. The way people are talking about his health is almost strange at this point.
To make a completely premature assumption on the new characters I do feel Strider will most likely end up being one of the new S tiers. I know Capcom was definitely feeling the pressure to make sure he was good because making a character that popular mid tier or ass would get a lot of backlash from the community. He looks like he has a little bit of everything especially with a teleport that even Zero wishes he had. If his normals are just as hard to deal with as Zero’s he’s looking to probably be a better Zero minus maybe not having a special move as cheap as charged buster shot.
Just because you have two level 3’s doesn’t mean you need a ton of meter. Who’s to say you realistically need to use the level 3’s to kill characters with him any way? People are saying you can do good damage with him off of basic ABC shit any ways and as long as his mix up is capable enough with the teleports he’ll easily build up enough meter to get the level 3 anyways in a game where meter comes to you like water from a fountain (barring there were no changes in overall meter build).
Strider seems to be a huge deal from what I’m reading. He’s sounding like a mix of Dante (options) and Zero (priority/health), but with a lesser execution learning curve.
They are abused in high level play because there is no high risk even if you counter it. Come on there is evenTAC glitches that She Hulk could abuse because there is no risk of being punished. Given how difficult it is to counter them, there should be a better reward/risk if you get successful.
