UMvC3 - List of Changes

Wesker was too strong for 1.1m, he has a -1 launcher, 1f grab, Self-OTG, great air throw, great normals, very strong pressure game with teleport and gun-shot.

Only what is lacking is his level 1 DHC

Thor wasn’t too good in vanilla mvc3 so i suggest they make his hammer toss like Shao Kahn in mk9 ie unblockable, cannot be ducked, and causes auto-stun…then Thor would be a least lower-mid tier!!

He also has some of the worst damage scaling in the game, so while he does good damage with pokes, his combos are actually sub par. Honestly, if he drops under 1m, there’s no real reason to run him over Felicia. She out damages him, is just as bullshit in x-factor, still has an amazing OTG, excellent resets, a 5 frame command grab with more range, 1 frame with the same range, and a 3 frame in between. She also has Kitty Helper, which can make her more durable potentially. The only thing Wesker has and she doesn’t is easier execution and a gun.

Anyway, as I said before, the 1.1m health tier characters (other than Chris) should be left alone for the most part. Bring everyone up to Wesker, Taskmaster, and She-Hulk.

Also, I do need to say it. To the people telling us not to worry, as there will be several more builds until release, the best way to avoid terrible changes is, in fact to protest them. Yes, nothing is the end of the world, but if people say nothing about the tweaks, that feedback never gets back to the dev team, and shit ships as is on the first tweak.

Except people are seeing the tweaks and thinking of them singularly in MvC3 not how they all mesh together in UMvC3 where EVERYONE is tweaked along with new characters or are getting trolled by people making nerfs and buffs up.

And they can tweak post-release still.

Obviously weird moves like XF still being “too good” or overall damage seemingly higher + health reductions should be a cause for concern.

Shame it’s the wrong ouroboros. Man, give Wesker orbs, and you can drop him to 800k heal…wait a minute.

Edit: Patching post release really, really isn’t cost effective.

I know. Another reason why PC is better and I heard WiiU won’t be charging devs to patch their own games either.

Microsoft and Sony need to take notes.

Laugh at the Wesker players.

This is actually deserving considering Hulk has a ton of terrible matchups. Should help him not get instant overheaded so much (well, maybe not by sentinel, but we’ll see). Not to mention, characters like Morrigan won’t be able to j.S on Hulk alllllllllllllllllll day tearing through his super armor. That matchup is so hard lol. It might even help him vs sentinel since sent’s c.M eats everything hulk does on the ground. In the air, Hulk just can’t do shit to a flying/properly spaced Sentinel simply because Hulk lacks an aerial game. j.S has the most range but it’s too slow vs Sent and anything else Hulk can do in the air is too slow and lacks range. Not that I’d expect him to do much better with jumping normals but an aerial gamma charge would be cool.

I wonder how many more obviously made up nerfs/buffs I can make that people will believe…

Storm can no longer call assists when in “Float” Mode. Some of her combos do not work after normal jump cancelling from her Crouching C. the moves either whiff or the character flips out.

Dr. Doom Hidden Missile “Stacking” glitch is gone.

It doesn’t seem like you can cancel C. Vipers thunder knuckle into EX Thunder Knuckle anymore, i kept trying to do it but it wouldn’t work.

Magneto’s air “Rom” combo doesn’t work mid screen, only in the corner, Magnetos Fierce punch in the air knocks the opponent too far away for an air dash to catch up with them.

Phoenix can only do one special action in the air, so no more multiple TK shots while super jumping.

Sentinel’s Rocket Punch when used to OTG characters has been severely nerfed in terms of hit stun. It can no longer combo into Hyper Sentinel Force after an air combo or possibly at all, the opponent recovers before the drones hit. (At least in the corner!).

Dr. Dooms Air S move is extremely fast now which makes it easier to combo with mid screen. His Plasma beams also feel a little but faster.

Zero’s fully charged buster shot does not cause unrecoverable knockdown.

Ryu has a “Berserker Charge” mode, by pressing the same buttons as berserker charge, his moves and hyper combos become stronger.

I’m mad that when everyone refers to storms wind move they refer to Rachel as if she had it before storm. Guess no one played COTA

still havn’t seen this “denjin” mode for Ryu or whatever the hell it’s called. I’ve searched all over the web for video on it and now I’m starting to think it’s just a rumor.
