Same reason why some characters have projectiles and some don’t, not everyone needs an otg to be effective. Magneto doesn’t have an otg move(unless your counting his hypers) but he is one of the best in the game. Heck wolverine needs an assist or x-factor to otg effectively and phoenix can’t otg at all(correct me if im wrong here).

Phoenix can OTG with fireball into super or relaunch but it’s only really effective in the corner after a throw. Her throws/air throws purposely throw the opponent too far away to do anything mid screen that I’ve seen any way. In standard combos obviously the OTG has more use.

Thanks for clearing that up, but I hope I at least conveyed my point properly. On another note, been watching the stream and I seriously don’t see the difference in zero, he still gets nice hit confirms off his buster so whatever they changed can’t be that big of a deal.

level 3 buster doesn’t hard knockdown.

I should have made this clear in my post, but I was aware what the change was, I just didn’t understand what difference it made. I made the assumption that people would pop out of his buster after getting shot or something-ala akumas tatsu-making it harder to start combos with it, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Think you could clear up what differences this makes for zero. I understand the general concept of hard knockdowns and in the case of someone like haggar I get the difference, the point character can no longer wait for like 5 minutes before otging off the knockdown creating by the mayor. I fail to see how the zero change, really changes anything for zero.

Not being able to OTG after buster means that it is harder for Zero to hitconfirm as he isn’t allowed the extra time to dash up and OTG into a combo. It’s not a huge nerf, but it means Zero will actually have to hitconfirm (easy) rather than just run up and OTG or whatever (super-duper easy).

I wish people played characters other than Wolverine/Zero/Dante/Wesker so we could get some real information.

Run up and OTG with Zero is harder than you think it is. Only people I’ve seen doing that off a raw buster are some JP zeros.

The only difference this makes is that rekkoha will be harder to combo unless you have one of those 7 assists that allow you to do the proper extended combo.

Wait. So some characters can’t do derp OTG into hypers? Or did capcom lessen the OTG window? Because in the streams, people are performing OTG’s left and right pretty easily still, which…to me, should have been lessened this time around.

Zero’s throw animations got changed, instead of charging a lvl3 shot and shooting it it’s several ‘normal’ shot from the games.

Here’s hoping they didn’t really nerf how long combos were. Last thing I want to see is more ABCS BBCS. Stop bitching about combos being so long from Dante, Tron, Magneto and some others and how “I don’t like not being able to control my character for so long”.

The nerfs to Tron and Magneto jH were shots at the abare they had. I was hoping they would give more characters the ability to convert air hits into decent combos, not take it away from those who could.

As far as I know, either Rocket Punch L’s hit stun went down or Hyper Sentinel Force’s startup went up, because the opponent can flip out of it and block the hyper. I don’t know if it’s strictly impossible for it to connect now or if the timing is just stricter or if the players just suck.

Clearly trying to make it more liek MvC2, which is GATLIKE, if you didn’t know, and had a few characters with big combos and most of them had the basic lmh sj lmh. Clearly.

All of his throws? Cus his forward throw was always a bunch of regular shots. It was always annoying getting an air throw or back throw then losing your charge with zero.

Any changes to dorm besides flame carpet. Pre release the start up on his dark hole/air dark hole, -->+H and QCB spells was faster any of those changes return?

You can now actually see what side they are going, when that green color is coming up on the screen, you know it’s either left or right and the red color indicates down or up.

yeah his airthrows are like that now.

i’m pretty confident that the change to arthur is not in fact three lances in one go but you can have 3 on the screen - I was watching the screen and saw what LOOKED like 3 lances, but was actually one from the air and two from the ground, every single subsequent lance throw was 2 lances and not 3. if you could throw 3 lances quickly why would you throw daggers?
