Nemesis, Strider, Vergil = Only good new characters. The other 9 are a waste of time and are nothing but ways to market movies and up coming games.
All they needed to do to this game to make it solid: Fix online, fix X Factor, Nerf Wolvie and Phoenix.

Im glad they didn’t severely nerf or remove X-factor and just blindly listened to the people complaining without thinking. As one mentioned, most when really thinking about it would not vote for complete removal of the system (As a lot are suggesting and blindly ranting about)
Im also probably one of the only ones that has little problem with X-factor (Im not saying the System is GOOD, im saying it doesn’t bother me half as much as most). And fyi, no Im not saying that cause Im benefiting from it and am one of those guys that kill 3 chars with one x-factor with no problem. Actually, probably the other way around as I rarely activate it outside of when I have 1 char left and I wanna 100% a character, or to counter my opponents x-factor/chip. I dont get randomed out THAT MUCH and get all my 3 chars killed (I do but for other BS reasons).
That said I must admit im not playing the most skilled players and I have only met a handful of Phoenixs & chars that REALLY go crazy with Xfactor (As in gain more than just a speed boost + chip/or ones that really benefit from that, Felicia/Phoenix), but I do have over 2000 matches with a good Win ratio so its not like im new to the system and the game. I do think it needs tweaking dont get me wrong lol (It def. is bullshit a lot of times), but I did not expect this level of hate towards it

Anyone know if Ryu’s tatsu assist is still the same? He might end up replacing akuma’s. Little harder to hit confirm and cant suck up projectiles, but still a strong mix-up tool.

I want Ryu’s Shoryu assist to be fully invincible, so I can replace Tron with him. Either that or give me my Cyclops AA assist back lol.
Seriously though, the changes so far are enough to say that this game will be looking real unfamiliar by the time I get my hands on it. It’s cool though… I’m ready for that.
Haggar is very little beyond Lariat. He’s got that and a good way of starting DHC glitches but hey guess what
Also they better have just nerfed the Assist version because otherwise they will recover and flip out before the Lariat finishes.
So, what do you guys have to say about strider? He took out Dante, Wesker, and Sentinel all by himself in that live stream earlier today(does someone have that match btw)… what do you guys think of him?
I read some where that he is actually better here than the past MVC’s.
It doesn’t hard knockdown, and he was nerfed on point as well. Ground pipe now causes bounce instead of ridiculous hit stun. Tron’s j.H was nerfed as well. Can only combo into drill afterwards, because she was such as beast at getting in and the Mayor’s combos were spectacularly shitting on Dante’s.
Far be it from me to complain THIS early though, since I will admit… it’s kind of dumb to do vehemently at this point. But these changes do not bode well.
He feels very loose and super fast. Great potential to be top tier. Problem is he bleeds super hard. Super, super hard. That and he has 2 level 3s so he needs a ton of meter.
Pre release build, don’t hit the panic button just yet.

ah i see. well damn that ruins dantes combos off of lariat. guess he won’t be so effective as an assist now.

Well, as it has been stated, he could still be useful, it is just not nearly as easy to convert/get a combo even if you were attacked before the Mayor came out. Which is understandable, but they need to handle him on point.
Played 3 games today heres what I got
Confirm on Tron assist with no invincibility or has a lot of start up
Wolverine has a new move, i think the input is mash ATK and he does a lot of stabs
Played as Red Arremer, cant really give much new info on him but I think he has a fireball that when it hits keeps burning (think chris grenade toss/dorm flame carpet)
Also White Arremer Power Up changes properties on some special moves, to say the least. Ill be playing much more tommorow, will give more info then.
Tommorow I am going to be playing mostly V Joe, Red Arremer, Strider, Morrigan, Hsien Ko, Deadpool, Akuma, and Ryu. Will let you know on any changes.
